I have always had an
interest in still photography
as a means of preserving
a moment in time and
enhancing the memory of that
moment. a photograph will
always reveal more than what
was observed when it was
taken, and will continue to do
so for a person’s lifetime.
the “heidelberg Fairy” is
a photograph of a young
mime in the town plaza
of heidelberg, germany.
She would pose motionless
on a small pedestal until
someone donated coins into
a pitcher she had placed
on the ground in front of
herself. She would then
assume another pose. this
photograph makes one
wonder who is she really
and what kind of life does
she have?
