Experiential learning at TWU bridges theory with practice. It is<br />
a dynamic, engaged form of learning characterized by active<br />
collaboration, real-world problem solving, hands-on application<br />
of classroom theories, in-depth engagement with content or<br />
simulation of skills outside a traditional academic classroom.<br />
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE<br />
U.S. News and World Report continues to rank our library and<br />
information studies, occupational therapy and physical therapy<br />
programs among the nation’s best. And, our master’s degree in<br />
nursing is ranked among the top five in the state.<br />
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH COMMONS<br />
The newest building on campus features research<br />
space to support biology, chemistry and biochemistry,<br />
nutrition and food sciences, and psychology. It’s also<br />
home to the only master’s in biotechnology program<br />
in North Texas where students will collaborate with<br />
local biotech companies. This $54 million, state-ofthe-art<br />
center opened in Fall 2020.<br />
