Travelogue Guesthouse
Travelogue is a boutique hotel located in the of the busy
city, Kuala Lumpur. The entrance to the guesthouse is
very hideous and sit in the middle of the shop lot.
The facilities in the guesthouse featured a rooftop
garden and public space for gathering with friends for
guests to relax after traveling in the busy city. It’s also a
good place for you to escape from the urban lifestyle.
The idea of revamping the guesthouse is to recreate a silence
moment in the hectic city by infusing the idea of concrete
jungle and volume down. Hence, creating a sequence from
loud to quiet. Finding a peaceful place to rest in the busy city.

A Pioneer to Malaysia’s Education
E.E.C. Thuraisingham
In this project, I was required to retold the story of an unsung hero
in Malaysia. The unsung hero that I chosen is E.E.C. Thuraisingham,
he was the first Minister of Education in Malaysia who contributed
a lot of solving the multiracial issues and other major issues about
education while Malaysia regaining its independence. However, his
contributions were only mentioned a little bit in Form 3 textbook.
The book doesn’t has a very fancy looking
as he’s a very calm person also work as
a lawyer and government ministry. So the
whole look and feel need to be toned down
to show his mature and stable personality.

Take Stock Magazine
In this project, I was required to create a cover for the
upcoming issue for an existing magazine publication using
a photographic image that is created using studio lighting
featuring a product or still life as the main subject matter.
Take Stock magazine is a magazine that is distributed to restaurants
in the United State, the contents of the magazine are mostly about
the fresh ingredient, tips on eating healthy and recipe inspiration.
On the past issues of the magazine, their main subject was always
looked fancy. So I picked salad as the main subject for this issue to
introduce healthy food can be delicious too. The main challenge in this
project is I need to make a simple dish appetising and delicious.

Reminisce in Malaysia
The project required me to create a swatch book to showcase
the paper’s quality from Takeo Paper. I was required to create
a book using variety of paper from Takeo Paper.
The idea for this book is based on vinyl record during the late 80s and
reminisce about the precious time during that period such as old buildings,
lifestyle, etc. All the chapters are splitted into different albums and held by
the vinyl record mailer that also served as a protection for all the albums.
The folder consists of 6 chapters
separated into different album.
Each pages are in the form of card
that represent the vinyl record.

Packaging
Compartes Chocolatier
Compartes is a boutique chocolate factory based in
United States. For this project, I was required to create
a packaging which can reduce food wastage.
The usual chocolate bar always comes in a big chunk
and consumer couldn’t finish it in a small period of time and
causing the chocolate to turns bad and ended up disposing it.
People don’t really know that food wastage could
affect the wildlife and ecosystem, so tropical
and aquatic were chosen as the theme for the
packaging to raise awareness of the problem.
The animals on the packaging are endangered
species caused by food wastage.
The concept of this packaging is to make the
chocolate bar smaller and convenience to carry
out, so the consumers only consume small serving
at one time while preserving the remaining.

Heinz Brings Ong
Heinz is celebrating 150th years anniversary in 2019.
However, Heinz has not gained much popularity in
Malaysia due to Heinz was seen as a luxury brand
and it’s also cost higher compared to other local brand.
The brief was to create a marketing campaign to boost the
popularity of Heinz in Malaysia targeting local audiences
at the same time celebrating Heinz’s 150th Anniversary.

Problem
Heinz Ketchup has never gained much
market popularity in Malaysians because
it lacks of cultural relevance and always
been seen as a “premium western” brand.
Idea
Heinz Brings the “ONG”
Cultural Insight
Heinz ketchup mainly associates itself
with the color red. The word “Ong” means
“red” and also prosperity in Mandarin.
Every Chinese New Year, many Chinese seek
their fortune through various means in hope
that their year may be a prosperous “Ong” one.
Heinz invites the public to bring the “Ong” in their lives by squirting their ketchup on a giant piece
of table cloth to reveal their secret blessing and share this blessing to their friends and family.
Campaign Flow
Step 1: Squirt Heinz ketchup
Step 2: Smudge the ketchup.
Step 3: Blessing reveal.
Step 4: Share to family and friends
Social Media Posts
Facebook Game
For those who couldn’t attend the live
event. They could virtually squirt and reveal
the blessing through Facebook game. Then
send the blessing to their beloved one
WW1 Interactive Installation
Sound of Trauma
Sound of Trauma is an interactive installation that consisted
of the combination of sound and visual experience to educate
public about shell shock. Shell shock is a term coined in
World War I to describe the type of post-traumatic stress
disorder many soldiers were afflicted with during the war.
They have hypersensitivity to daily noise similar to war.

Each buttons are symbolizing the daily noise that will trigger their bad
memories towards war. The visual displayed is what in their mind when
the noise is heard. Also, the sound wave projected on the sculpture
indicates the stress level of the soldier when the noise level increases.
Through the installation, the audiences will get to understand
the feeling of a shell shock soldier by experiencing the same
disasters the patients have been through during World War 1.
