Foreword
Spread over two floors, Tallington Lodge is registered to provide
personalised residential and dementia care. Tallington Lodge has been
purpose built andsympathetically designed to blend in with the local area
featuring a traditional stone frontage.
The care home promotes a lifestyle for residents that offers
beautiful, homely accommodation, whilst delivering the highest standards
of personalised care. The care home has 31 en-suite bedrooms, with ground
floor ‘superior rooms’ featuring patio doors leading out onto their own
garden sitting area. Residents will also be able to enjoy a hair salon,
garden boat-house and beautifully designed lounge and dining areas on
both the ground and first floors.
Situated on the edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire village of Tallington;
Tallington Lodge Care Home provides residential and dementia care led
by family values at it’s care in a beautiful, village setting.

Overview
Month Zero | March 2018
The existing site had many challenging aspects to
overcome throughout the duration of the construction
programme. Due to the recent completion to the First
Phase of the Care Home, space for works were limiting.

Completion of Demolition works and foundation
Month One | March 2018
Works commenced on site on 1st March 2018. During the early weeks, completion of demolition
and stripout works to the existing carehome were achieved; and foundation works commenced.
Remedial works to the roof of the existing carehome were also undertaken within this month.

Roof Installation, Masonry Works and
Landscaping to existing building
Month two | April 2018
Good progress continued within this reporting period, as the completion of strip
out works allowed for wall formwork to commence to the ground floor of the
Second Phase. Additionally, preperations were made within the period for the
installation of the acoustic flooring.

Demolition and Foundation installation to rear of site
Month Three | June 2018
Steady progress was made during the period, as wall formwork
continued alongisde roof truss installation and internal plastering
works to the existing home. Externally, the foundation works and
demolition works to the existing works had concluded.

Roof Covering to Existing Care
Home and Steelwork to rear of
development
Month Four | July 2018
Good progress was made in the period, as roof truss installation
to the front elevation had commenced to the front extension of
the facility and roof covering works to the existing care home
had achieved completion. Wall formwork to the extension of the
development was nearing completion. Additionally, steelwork to
the rear wing had commenced and foundations were poured
to the rear of the site, where the bedroom extension is situated.
Internally, first fix Mechanical and Electrical works commenced.

First Fix M&E and Screed installation
Month five | August 2018
Works progressed well within the reporting period as roof truss
installation was close to completion throughout. Blockwork to the rear
extension had commenced and stonework existing building achieved
completion. Sprinkler head installation and screeding works
commenced within the period.

Month Six | September 2018
Good progress was made during the period, as roof truss installation had
complete throughout and window installation had commenced. Internally, floor
screed and wall plaster installation had taken place.

Second Fix Service Installation
Month Seven | October 2018
Plaster installation and floor screed progressed well within the period. Also, second
fix service installation commenced alongside First Fix services. Preperation of external
render installation took place during the reporting period.

Month eight | November 2018
Works progressed well within the period, as window
installation achieved commenced and internal plastering works were
close to completion. Internal finishing commenced and second fix
installation to the services were well underway during the reporting

Month nine | December 2018
Completion to window installation had been
achieved throughout and installation to second
fix services continued. Internal finishes were well
underway and internal plaster works were nearing
completion.

Commencement of Air Testing
Month Ten | January 2019
Good progress was made during the period, as completion to internal finishes, plastering and
second fix installation to services were achieved, which allowed for air testing to be undertaken.

Completion of internal Fit out
Month Eleven | February 2019
On 4th February 2019,Practical Completion was achieved. Within this period
internal fit out, plastering and internal finishes had now achieved completion and
preparations were being made for the lift installation. Externally, hard lanscaping
works had been undertaken.

Link Frame Installation
Month Twelve | March 2019
Removal of existing roof over phase one had been undertaken to allow
for the steel link frame to be installed, in order to connect Phase 1 & 2
. Installation of the platform lift had been achieved within the period
and minor remdial works to the external paving had been undertaken..

Fit out of Care Home Link
Month Thirteen | April 2019
Within the period, plastering works and internal decoration were
undertaken to the link, whilst completion of First Fix service
installation and insulating of ceilings was achieved. Externally,
rainwater goods had been installed.

Completion to Link
Month Fourteen | May 2019
Delays occured within the reporting period due to inclement weather
conditions which halted the installation of the glazing panels to the
steel linking frame, which had a revised installation date of the 31st
May 2019. During the period the date for practical completion was
pushed back to 7 June 2019, due to client changes.

Month Fifteen| October 2019
On 17th October 2019, Combined Works Practical Completion of both Phase 1
& 2 was achieved.
