They design and developa project that demonstrates mastery in a specificdiscipline (or multiple disciplines). Students havetackled educational, historical, political, andscientific questions, while others have pursuedarts projects, theatre, and writing.HONORS COUNCILA student-leadership group, the Council plays asignificant role in helping us carry out our coremission, organized around four pillars: expandknowledge; establish leaders; enhance community;enrich global understanding.HONORS CONFERENCESEach year, the Global Honors Program supportstravel for up to ten students’, usually to the NortheastRegional Honors Council’s annual conference.This valuable experience requires students todevelop a professional proposal, be acceptedby conference reviewers, and publicly presenttheir work.LEADERSHIPThe Global Honors Program helps students excelwithin, and beyond, the classroom. We offerleadership opportunities, including the chanceto work as a Student Associate Director, join ourGlobal Honors Admissions Team (or “A-Team”), orserve our robust freshman-mentoring program.Students also take on leadership roles acrosscampus, serving as club presidents, or guidingcommunity-service initiatives.As an honors student, you will graduate with theprestigious designation of University Global Honors(if you study abroad, you can earn a UniversityGlobal Honors with Distinction).
