TEA WITH THE
Clint invites himself to tea
with the Binder parents.
BINDERS
As mentioned in my editors
note, I had the privilege
of having tea with
the Binder parents Trevor
and Sharon at their
home in Krugersdorp the week
after Brad’s first epic win at Brno
in the MotoGP class. I was doing
a piece for radio for the Afrikaans
radio show called Wielle2wielle and
it was so interesting just shooting
the breeze with the two of them.
I’ve known them since the boys
started doing track days and it’s
been lovely seeing the development
of both the boys over the years
They candidly talk about wanting
to be there at Brno, the challenges
of getting him (Brad) back
and also how it worked in the
beginning of both boys’ GP careers
and living is Spain and why.
It’s truly great being South African
now with our two boys doing so
well. I’m hoping that something
can happen to Darren like it did
for Aussie Jack Miller where he
completely by passed Moto 2, I’m
thinking Darren is too big for the
Moto 3 bike and his Dad agrees
that he is the biggest guy there in
that class.
Trevor also give a little insight
into the roll that Dani Pedrosa has
played in making the 2020 GP16 a
rideble MotoGP bike that it totally
appears to be. I mean in the last
race 4 out of the top 10 were KTM’s.
So make a cup of tea, sit back
and listen to the totally “Made in
South Africa” story which is the
Binder Brothers.
