Congratulations and every

blessing to each of our

children celebrating their

long awaited First Holy

Communion each weekend

in September and October at

St Joseph’s


Year 3 are coming to the end of their first

English topic which was Fables. They have

prepared books ready to write their fables

next week. If the front covers look this

good, their teacher can't wait to read their

fables!


Year 2 signing and

dancing to the

"Building the

Community "song.


Year 4 were really engaged in

the story of "Le vent et Le

soleil" as we revised weather

in French. They reflected

carefully on the message of

the fable they had heard in

French and read in English.


Year 3 have been talking

about their own family,

the Holy family, their

Christian family and their

parish family. They

produced lots of lovely

drawings and great talk

about the people in each

family.


Fabulous focus in Year 5 T

with their creative use of

the slot technique for

joining cardboard and a

group busy sewing.


In year 5,

we can all

teach

each

other and

share our

wisdom.


Y4 Michelangelo learnt how to do overhand

throws, make an upper case L, side to

target, step, twist, throw.

They used these skills to play a new game.


An Early Morning Task maths star in Y2 Pasteur led to Maths

fun at playtime… and a lot of talk about the diagrams on

the playground at drop off and collection times


Successful early

work followed by

a great session of

paired reading or

ICT. Well done

Year 5 T


Year 6 Tolkien

mapping the emotions

of Macbeth across Act

1 & 2. Certainly a

dramatic start so far!
