To the Terrell County High School Pageant Committee and Contestants:

I want to congratulate you on how far you have progressed and to wish you a

successful pageant. I want you to know that nothing comes without setting goals and

working hard to achieve those goals. This period in your life, a time that you will never

forget, is now filled with memories of pageantry.

As the principal, I am impressed by the talents and accomplishments that each

contestant has attained during this period. The knowledge and skills gained from experience

will continue to build stronger character in each of you, to provide a foundation for future

endeavors, and to gain support system that is second to none.

I would also like to commend Mrs. Lillie Harris along with her committee for a job

well done. Thank you for taking the time to work with and to share your expertise with

the contestants.

Again, congratulations and best wishes to each of you.

Respectfully,

A LETTER FROM LILLIE HARRIS

2020 PAGEANT COORDINATOR

Potential candidates for Miss TCHS and court have requirements

they must meet before they can be considered during the selection

process. Academia, discipline, character and teacher recommendation are

components that play a very strong role in determining who is selected.

It is necessary that each young lady embrace this process in order

to be fruitful on this journey. Through practices and various projects,

they have to come to terms with the fact that they must work as a team

and determining each other’s strengths and weaknesses makes for a

better team. They have laid the foundation for great sisterhood and have

become a great team of leaders. Women typically do not flock together

in terms of leadership but this is a process where young women can

learn to work together and appreciate each other’s differences. This is a

very important quality to perfect not only as a professional, but as a

strong woman.

A Miss TCHS legacy has been created, led by former court

members who assist the future court during their pageant process. These

former students are now adult women who have admitted that they felt

comfortable during the various interviews, workshops, and conferences

they encountered post-graduation because they learned how to conduct

themselves accordingly as part of the Miss TCHS court. Some of these

ladies have even initiated similar organizations in their communities

because they understand the importance of this type of program. A bond

has been created. Tonight’s contestants will be adding to this bond by

cementing their place in the Miss TCHS legacy.

Congratulations to the 2020 Miss TCHS Court!

Life is A Twisted Road

Life is a twisted road dominated by

Unexpected twists and turns,

However at the end of the day, it is from them that we learn.

And in spite of being so hard to cross,

The flame of hope ensures that you’re never lost.

So keep the flame of hope always bright and strong.

For as long as hope reigns, nothing can go wrong.

Love Always,

Your Mother
