2020 in Review

Dear Friends,

In a rapidly changing world, I am so thankful

we serve an unchanging God who continues

to bring hope during times of despair. While

many will remember 2020 by the impact

COVID-19 had on our world, others will

remember the love, generosity, and help we

showed them in their time of need.

As you look through the pages of this catalog, it is my prayer that you will once

again give generously as you see the joy and hope in the faces of those whose lives

have been impacted. Thank you for your partnership as we continue to show and

share God’s love.

Running Water for the

Living Water: Our Story

Water is essential to life.

An estimated 785 million people

do not have clean water —that’s

nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide.

Many are women and children who

walk long distances to gather contaminated

water for their families

to drink. Access to a sanitary water

source improves childhood health,

education, and work opportunitites

for years to come.

It all began in 2016, when a

group of runners decided to

raise awareness and funds for

clean water. They started a

movement that has grown

to over 200 runners in 2019

alone. Since its beginning,

team members have raised

enough for 120 wells!

You can be a part of the

Running Water journey.

Whether it’s by running,

helping raise funds and

awareness, or becoming an

event sponsor, there is a way for

everyone to get involved! Currently,

we coordinate organized events

in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

David 's Story

“Me and my family had

to leave fast. I was so

scared and I felt like I

was going to die soon.”

-David

In 2014, ISIS attacked David’s home village, forcing his family

to flee for their lives. They had to live in tents for 2 months

while awaiting entry into Jordan. He describes this as a

harrowing season. “I was really angry at God at that time.”

After arriving in Jordan, David was invited to church and became

a follower of Jesus. After being discipled, he served as a

translator and youth leader at GPPD’s partner church in Amman.

4 years later, in 2018, David and his family were finally accepted

by Australia as permanent residents. David now has a job as a community

(social) worker and says, “It feels really good to help more

people.” He is working on a diploma in case management so he can

take his career to the next level and impact more people.

Sponsorship was crucial for David while being prevented

from working as a refugee. “Here in Australia, I can pay $20 for

two meals in a restaurant...But in Jordan, we could almost make $20

worth of food last a month. I want to thank GPPD and everyone I met

who taught me something. Thank God who put you in my way.”

Nations' Hope Store

All the products in our online

store have been handmade by

women in impoverished areas who

are seeking to provide for their

families or better their futures.

At a Maker’s Event, each lady

learns to create one item in our

store and is paid that day for products

completed. Ladies who attend

regularly have an opportunity to

build skills and transition into their

own small business.

The Nations’ Hope Store is more

than a business endeavor. Our team

builds intentional relationships with

the women and offers opportunities

for prayer and discipleship.

Women

in many parts of the world

face daily injustices and challenges.

These include the lack of access

to medical care during childbirth,

forced marriage as young as age 12,

and cruelty for becoming a widow.

Together, we can help each woman

realize she is God’s masterpiece.

In U ganda

anda, a bra is much more

than a basic clothing item.

Bras can help protect a young

teen from underage marriage

by avoiding unwanted

attention from older men.

Livesock & Small Business

Building a small business is a sustainable path

out of poverty. When an entrepreneur receives

training or help with startup costs, the impact

grows for years to come. Livestock businesses

are a great choice in rural areas where animal

breeding provides a practical source of food

and supplemental income for families.

Ifonise’s Story

Richardson lives in our Haiti Rèv Home. His

mother, Ifonise, chose to bring him to the Rèv

Home out of love because she was unable to

provide for him. When she wanted to start a

business selling backpacks at a local market,

Global Partners provided enough funds for the

first several backpacks. Today, she continues to

independently grow her business.

Showing God’s love while experiencing another culture

“Traveling to Haiti with GPPD opened my eyes and my heart to some

of the poorest people in the Western Hemisphere. Despite their need,

these very same people showed me a level of generosity I’ve never

witnessed before. We shared the love of Jesus, and I was the one who
