For more than 125 years, we have been applying zinc coatings as normal- and high-temperature galvanizing, with optional
wet or powder coating (duplex). The DIN EN ISO 1461 quality label stands for outstanding corrosion protection. Even if it
looks as if we have just been repeating the same procedures, every order brings about something new. Accordingly, we
are constantly seeking fresh ideas and innovation that help our customers achieve success more easily or at lower cost.
In this way, we keep enhancing our processes and take our development further, for example with high-temperature
galvanizing with minimum layer thickness, excellent coating properties and very high surface hardness.

Normal-temperature galvanizing (NTV)
By immersing steel in molten zinc at 450 °C, a resistant alloy layer consisting of iron and zinc and thereon
a highly adherent layer of pure zinc is built up. Zinc serves as a sacrificial anode for steel and protects
it from corrosion until it has been fully consumed.
High-temperature galvanizing (HTV)
For high-temperature galvanizing, very low yet variable layer thicknesses from around 30 to 80 μm are
produced in a controlled environment of up to 620 °C. High-temperature galvanized parts are characterized
by a clearly increased surface hardness, optimal coating ability as well as excellent fit, which is especially
ideal for components with delicate geometries in the automotive industry.
Galvanizing and wet or powder coating (Duplex)
Duplex is an additional corrosion protection system based on galvanizing in combination with one or
more subsequent coatings, for example coloured powder coating. Components coated with the duplex
method feature a service life 1.2 to 2.5 times longer than the added single-protection duration achieved
with galvanizing and coating.
