Omowunmi Dada Shines as
she clocks a year older
Nollywood star Omowunmi Dada is one of the young
actors currently stirring up Nollywood. Known for her
role in the TV series ‘Jemeji’ amongst other movies,
Omowunmi is currently making the headlines on social
media for her sterling performance in the latest movie
OLOTURE (which made its way to Netflix this week
and a feature on CNN), celebrated her birthday last
week with a heart filled with gratitude to God for her life
and successes so far. She posted this message on her
Instagram page with this beautiful photo.
“A heart filled with gratitude.....Gratitude for what the
past year has been despite the pandemic and sudden
halt of the world. Thankful for family, good health, friends
and you all who support and love me genuinely. Looking
forward and keeping my gaze on all the goodness and
surprises the New Year has in stock for me and my
career. A girl is thankful. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.”
Gov. Dapo Abiodun Appoints
Laycon as Youth Ambassador
It was another win for newly
crowned Big Brother Naija Lockdown
winner, Laycon who was again
elevated as a Youth Ambassador
by the Ogun State Governor, Prince
Dapo Abiodun.
Gov. Abiodun who made the
announcement when he played host
to Lacon in his office at Oke-Mosan,
Abeokuta, also, gave Laycon a
three-bedroom bungalow and five
million naira (N5,000,000).
Abiodun expressed the hope that
his good character, excellence, good
virtues, calmness, integrity, would
serve as a model to youths in the
state.
“It is hoped that you will help
inspire our teeming youths to
channel their energy towards
positive engagements and
shun vices such as robbery,
drug abuse, cultism, advanced
fee fraud, cybercrimes and
kidnapping amongst other
negative tendencies” he said.
He described Laycon’s
conduct in the house as a
demonstrating of the Omoluabi
component, the primary
ingredient of an Ogun Stateborn
Nigerian, observing that
despite all the odds, temptations
and provocations, he was able
to come out unscathed and
uninvolved in any scandal or
immoral act.
On his part, Laycon while
sharing the news with his
followers and fans on instagram,
promised to put this opportunity
to great use. “This platform and
opportunity that has been given to
me by the people of Nigeria and
the people of Ogun State, I will
make sure I use it to the best of
my ability, to impact the society
positively, enrich people’s lives
and keep spreading love and
light. Thank you all very much.”

The Miss Nigerian Face pageant,
an online pageant done on Instagram
was created to make a difference in the
pageant world by helping girls who may
have difficulty making it as models or as
beauty queens have their dreams come
true.
