We are Austria’s largest grower and
producer of seeds. We have been true
to our tradition of plant breeding since
1950. Our roots and headquarters are in
Linz, the capital of Upper Austria’s fertile
agricultural landscape. A cooperative
of farmers ever since our foundation,
we have grown into an internationally
successful company with currently
around 3,100 members.

high yields and greater net product for

We develop top varieties of agricultural
crops for the international market.
Maize, wheat, oilseed rape and soybeans
are at the heart of our diverse offer: We
have more than 350 varieties from about
85 crops fulfilling special requirements
for the respective markets. Each
performs best in its area – for food,
feed and energy.

Produce
We produce seeds and agricultural
raw materials for the food and feed
industry in the European agricultural
area. Our highly modern and powerful
processing plants as well as our staff‘s
many years of experience both in
field production and seed processing
as well as the direct interaction with
the producers enable saatbau linz to

the quality we have sown: the results of
the efforts of all breeders, multipliers,
technicians, farmers and partners to
