“A lot of sport is down
to mentality and being
positive. When you have
that sort of mind set you
can go and achieve great
things. It’s something the
group have been really
good at over the past few
seasons. We have to take
those positive experiences
and go into it in a positive
frame of mind.
“It’s a case of preparing
the same way, having that
same mentality in place and
tuning up. You sometimes
need to carry a little bit of
luck as well, which we did
in the St Johnstone game in
the quarter-final.”
Throughout Celtic’s
unbeaten run at Hampden
their fans have been an
ever-present 12th man,
backing the players with
fervent support. The
atmosphere will be sorely
missed today, however
McGregor and many of his
team-mates will not be
thrown by the void of noise,
having already gained
experience of playing in an
empty Hampden.
