Willits Community Theatre
The non-profit organizations that sustain our communities are essential partners, allowing
us to realize our mission of a thriving Mendocino County. Willits Community Theatre (WCT)
is in its 43rd year creating art for Northern California. This year WCT was awarded a
Community Enrichment grant to support a youth performance arts summer camp. “The arts
are essential to the well-rounded development of children,” says executive director Chrystina
Patterson. “Our Youth Camp program provides the opportunity for our youth to experience
the variety, inspiration, and fun of dramatic arts. It helps children empower themselves as
they find confidence in materializing their creativity.”
As a “community treasure chest” the Foundation has always believed in supporting many
areas of interest, including arts and humanities, youth and education, environment,
economics, sense of place, healthy communities, animals, and disaster relief. Supporting
WCT is just one way in which the Foundation helps local communities thrive.
