GEAR CASE OF TRACTIONMOTOR AND GEAR• The traction motor gear case encloses thetraction motor pinion and axle gear, and housesthe lubricant for traction motor gears. The entiregear case assembly is mounted on the tractionmotor magnet frame with the help of threemounting bolts. One of the bolt is located in thetop half and two in the bottom half of the gearcase.
