FAREWELLRITA MEYER & BAXOLISE DASICall it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it ateam or call it family – this is the PE branch and sadlywe recently had to bid farewell to two ‘family’ membersof the team.Our very own ‘mother hen’, Rita Meyer who madeKonica Minolta SA her second home for 17 years andthe always genuine and friendly Baxolise ‘Bakkies’ Dasi,our trainee technician.We arranged a surprise farewell for both of them toshow our appreciation for their valued contribution overthe years and for the positive impact they have had onall the staff they have worked with. Saying good-bye totwo such dynamic, hard-working, creative and pleasantindividuals wasn’t easy. Although we will miss theirpresence in the office we wish them the very best forthe future.Baxolise Dasi & Rita MeyerDIVERSO’S LOCKDOWN EXPERIENCESDiverso TechnologyDuring Level-5 Lockdown, Diverso employees were glad tohave their kids doing more household chores than everbefore. The value of long family dinners with actualdiscussions, was realised again. Cigarettes were found inmedicine cabinets. Technology became our friend, with ourkids teaching us how to use Zoom/Teams/WA video callingetc. YouTube exercise videos became the norm in somehouseholds. Kids (and husbands) learned to cook. Ageneral patience had to be adopted to endure shoppingqueues and sanitiser shortages. Pregnant colleagues couldnot take their husbands with them to scans.
