Classes
In Reception there are two
classes - Robins and Doves.
Currently, Robins is taught by
Mrs Page and Mrs Gould and
Doves is taught by Mrs Burrows
and Mrs Yau.
September
In September we will ask children
to attend school for the mornings
only to begin with. We have found
that a transitional timetable
supports children in having a
postive start at school whilst also
giving teachers the time to meet
parents and children 1:1 in their
homes or virtually through video
chat.
More details of specific times and
dates will be be sent out prior to
September.
Drop off and pick up
Our usual school day starts at 8:50 and
finishes at 3:15.Children usually enter
school via through the gates in the
Reception outside area.
Due to COVID-19 drop-off and pick-up
times are staggered and children are
collected by their teacher from their class
lines at the front of the school. Specific
class-related information will be given
prior to September.

Information about uniform is available on our website by clicking the
tab 'Parents' and then 'Uniform'. We ask that your child has a
waterproof coat and wellies at school so they can access outdoor
learning daily. We also ask that each child has a book bag to keep
their books safe and a rucksack that their book bag can fit inside.
Please remember messy play is an important part of the EYFS
curriculum where children can access glue, paint, mud, water etc.
Throughout the day staff encourage children to keep themselves
clean and dry but accidents do happen, so please bear this in mind.
We ask that all uniform is clearly labelled - including socks!
PE
Physical development is a really important
part of EYFS. It is embedded in daily
learning activities from your child's first
day. More formal 'PE' lessons will begin in
the hall and outside after October half
term. Your class teacher will provide
information about which day your child
has PE and the kit they will need nearer
this time.
Lunch and Snack
From Reception to Year 2 a school lunch is
provided daily free of charge. Our lunch menu
is provided by Norse and offers healthy,
balanced meals. There is a choice of the main
meal, vegetarian option and jacket potato
every day. Children can also bring their own
packed lunch which does not contain nuts.
Children select which meal they would like
during registration in the morning.
A daily, healthy snack is provided by school.
We ask that children bring a bottle of water to
school every day.

We use texts and emails to keep
parents/carers informed and up-to-date
with any school information including
newsletters.
Reception use 'Tapestry' - an online learning
journal - to make observations of new
learning. They ask that you use this to
communicate with school and upload
learning that is done at home. They will use
this to keep you informed of any year group
specific information too.
Your child will be given a red communication
book to keep in their bookbag. This can be
written in to communicate messages with
the teacher too.
