Maybe unexpected, Iundertook the theme of childhood.As much as children are consideredas celestial angels I was intriguedto notice how kids are also underminedand ignored. The Freihaus becamea school inspired by the Greek“Skhole”: which consists in free time,a place for leisure, entertainmentand rest. The education follows thetheory of J. Huizinga, a new era ofHomo Ludens, Man the Player. Eachchamber suggests a form of play thatshould help you acquire knowledge.It is played or performed within aplayground, and played moreover asa feast, in mirth and freedom. A sacredspace, a temporarily real worldof its own. With the end of play itseffect is not lost, rather it continuesto shed its radiance on the ordinaryworld outside.When you embark on your trip, allsorts of curious incidents will takeplace. This is a place to learn aboutyourself, your interests, your emotionsand about what is real for you.Above all it is a place to learn howto learn, not to be taught, but to facedifferent stages of education. Youare free to do it any way you wish. Itis for everyone of all backgrounds.The chief aim of freedom is to provideboth the opportunity and theinducement to insure the maximumuse of knowledge that an individualcan acquire.The digital process implied3D modelling, texturing, staging,rendering, filming and soundmixing. The result is a video in twoparts, first is the visit to the schooland the second part reveals behindthe scenes and more about the concept.The poem and the text in thevideos were written for the project.
