The Wake Up Call
1
Introduction
The first of January 2020: the beginning
of a new decade and a nightmare.
Who would have thought that some part
of the most dense and beautiful natural
resource of our planet could have
burned? How could we have known that
a deadly virus would appear, that a tragic
blast would destroy half of a city and
that there would almost be a WW3… The
list of tragic events goes on and on.
When everything seemed to fall apart
and every sign of hope disappeared, we
still found a way to overcome fear, disaster
and chaos. Some will probably say
2020 is not a year to be remembered. But
why not commemorate these events which
certainly affected all of us but also
taught us a lot.
In this catalog you will find eight posters
dedicated to events that have occured
during the year 2020. Through
the use of graphic design we intend to
spread positivity as well as warn sociaty
to not take things for granted. This year
has been ‘THE WAKE UP CALL’ sociaty
neaded.

“Every tree has a story to tell. Some of them were burnt
but they endured the fire and got revived; some of them
were cut, their barks injured, some people pick up their
leaves to make medicine for their sicknesses, birds used
their leaves to make their nest, etc. Upon all this, the tree
is still a tree!” - Israelmore Ayiovor
