Location
Sierra Resort is situated in the scenic KZN Midlands,
about 2 hours’ drive northwest of Durban and close
to the town of Mooi River. The actual river runs
through the resort’s property.
Facilities
Set on 935 hectares of sprawling farmlands, Sierra
Resort dates as far back as 1900, where it was a
quaint single story outpost, affectionately known as
The Grove. It has since established itself as one of
the most popular Midlands destinations for families,
friends and couples. The accommodation includes
16 hotel rooms, 8 romantic rondavels, 22 chalets, a
40-sleeper bunkhouse and an exclusive Honeymoon
Suite. Sierra is equipped with a conference venue
that can comfortably accommodate 40-300 delegates.
Alternatively, there are breakaway rooms for
smaller groups. The resort is a great social venue as
well. There is a saloon bar and a restaurant attached
to the main building, in addition to the outdoor pool
bar, perfect for social events and parties.
