Support the RNLI Bands for Boats Campaign Wicklow RNLI have just launched Bands for Boats,
a rock, blues and ballads cd featuring Wicklow artists to raise vital funds for the RNLI Wicklow
Lifeboat, a volunteer service provided by brave men and women who put their own lives at risk to
help others in peril on the sea. The cd is available for €10 from from Mary DeCourcy,Fundraising 087
092 4919, the Lifeboat Shop at South Quay, Wicklow and select shops throughout Wicklow. All the
bands/artists gave their time free as did Silverline Studios Ireland in Newtownmountkennedy.

Official start of the 2012 17th Round Ireland Yacht Race:
11.30am Wicklow Pipe Band play the opening notes for the sailors as they prepare to set off
for this landmark race
12 noon Mesmerising spectacle as magnificent array of Yachts set sail from Wicklow Bay
for this epic non-stop 704 mile race accompanied by Wicklow Pipe Band
12 noon Tremendous air display as yachts depart Wicklow Bay. Gerry Humphrey’s returns
with his ‘Flying Cow’ Vans RV7 for an aerobatic display over the sea. His routine created huge
exhilaration two years ago and this year he has added some exciting new manoeuvres.
He will be joined by a flypast of aircraft based at Newcastle Airfield to show their support
of this local event.
12.30-pm Family Fun with The Irish Popcorn Company at the Black Castle.
