Support the RNLI Bands for Boats Campaign Wicklow RNLI have just launched Bands for Boats,<br />

a rock, blues and ballads cd featuring Wicklow artists to raise vital funds for the RNLI Wicklow<br />

Lifeboat, a volunteer service provided by brave men and women who put their own lives at risk to<br />

help others in peril on the sea. The cd is available for €10 from from Mary DeCourcy,Fundraising 087<br />

092 4919, the Lifeboat Shop at South Quay, Wicklow and select shops throughout Wicklow. All the<br />

Official start of the <strong>2012</strong> 17th <strong>Round</strong> <strong>Ireland</strong> Yacht Race:<br />

11.30am Wicklow Pipe Band play the opening notes for the sailors as they prepare to set off<br />

for this landmark race<br />

12 noon Mesmerising spectacle as magnificent array of Yachts set sail from Wicklow Bay<br />

for this epic non-stop 704 mile race accompanied by Wicklow Pipe Band<br />

12 noon Tremendous air display as yachts depart Wicklow Bay. Gerry Humphrey’s returns<br />

with his ‘Flying Cow’ Vans RV7 for an aerobatic display over the sea. His routine created huge<br />

exhilaration two years ago and this year he has added some exciting new manoeuvres.<br />

He will be joined by a flypast of aircraft based at Newcastle Airfield to show their support<br />

of this local event.<br />
