Message From Our Leadership

Dear Potential Sponsor,

The Delta Pi chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi) would like to off your

business a unique opportunity to increase your applicant base and expand your

presence to future business leaders. We are a co-ed, professional business

fraternity currently looking for corporate sponsorships for our chapter. We

currently take part in several fundraising efforts, and while we do manage to

support our needs, we have hopes of taking our chapter to the next level.

Our organization is the most well respected business organization at

Creighton University and around the nation. We are continuously connecting

with chapters across the country and are considered the Flagship Chapter for

our region. We have the ability to offer your company a position of support to

Alpha Kappa Psi, while growing the prestige of your company as we continue to

advance our brothers and chapter. In return, we hope that you may be able to

assist us by giving us any form of financial support for running our events this

year.

Our goal is to build a strong relationship with an experienced corporation

like yours and to market your image in the student community, benefiting us

mutually. With the strength and potential that Alpha Kappa Psi possesses, we

can work together to help shape business by shaping individuals into

hardworking professionals. We look forward to creating lasting bonds with your

company and we encourage you to take advantage of this chance.

Sincerely,

Christian M. Carrillo

About Alpha Kappa Psi

Alpha Kappa Psi, the oldest and largest professional

business fraternity in the world, was founded in 1904

at New York University on the principles of promoting

business education and development of future

leaders. Today our co-ed fraternity has 265

chapters with over 240,000 members internationally.

Our Creighton chapter, Delta Pi, was founded in 1957.

Guided by our five core values of Unity, Service,

Integrity, Knowledge, and Brotherhood, the Delta Pi

chapter provides an impactful learning environment

for its members. Our many professional, philanthropy,

fundraising, and brotherhood events each year not

only positively affect our members, but also the

Creighton and Omaha community as well.

Members of AKPsi develop skills from the moment

they begin their involvement. Our chapter focuses on

developing the core competencies of oral & written

communication, emotional intelligence, analytical &

critical thinking, listening & comprehension,

relationship building, resilience, feedback, and

coaching.

Delta Pi sends members annually to the Principled

Business Leadership Institute in Chicago and

biannually to our National Convention. At these events,

our chapter’s leaders have the opportunity to further

enhance their professional development with

members from across the United States.

A Closer Look at Who We Are

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Our chapter holds professionalism and personal development

to the highest standard. Our chapter is known on campus for

our ambitious, academically adept, and hospitable members.

We organize a host of smaller professionalism events for our

members to further their personal professional development

including professional speakers, company tours, and

networking.

BROTHERHOOD

Our chapter focuses on creating lasting bonds through a

formal retreat during the fall semester filled with team

building activities and self discovery. Throughout the year our

chapter hosts dinners to help build professional networking

skills with one another, catch up, and explore Omaha. We also

expand past our brotherhood and help students in other parts

of campus learn more about resume development and

practice our own leadership abilities.

SERVICE & PHILANTHROPY

Our members not only take initiative in the classroom, but in

our community as well. As a chapter, we serve our community

through park cleanups, card-making for hospitalized kids,

park cleanups, serving at the Ronald McDonald house,

organizing a campus-wide blood drive for the Nebraska

Community Bloodbank and our flagship philanthropy event in

partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

(BCRF).

RESUME & MOCK INTERVIEW

The members of Alpha Kappa Psi work with Fortune 500

recruiters and other Omaha area professionals to develop

resumes in workshops held throughout the school year. We

also host a mock interview event to help members of all

grades prepare and gain feedback on interview skills.

Our sponsors get the opportunity to meet potential interns

and employees in a low commitment environment.

What Our Members Say

Even though I have only been in Alpha Kappa Psi for one year so

far, I feel my leadership ability has improved greatly. Before

Alpha Kappa Psi I had always been more of a leader in the

background. Being around all these other great leaders gave me

more confidence and allowed me to learn how to lead a large

group more effectively.

NATHAN - CLASS OF 2023

Not only has Alpha Kappa Psi been an extremely useful tool

when it comes to my professional development, but it has helped

me translate the skills we learn in the classroom and apply them

to the real business world. Alpha Kappa Psi has helped mold me

into the business leader I aspire to become.

BRENNAN - CLASS OF 2022

Intern at TD Ameritrade

AKPsi has provided me with opportunities to work on my

weaknesses. Not only did AKPsi help me get out of my comfort

zone but it also provided me with a safety net to where I feel

comfortable failing and know that all my brothers are going to be

there for me to catch my back by providing me feedback and tips

on how to do better next time. Being a part of a brotherhood of

leaders and students helped me build confidence and the

courage to always strive for more.

GISSELLE - CLASS OF 2021

Intern at Markel Corp.

Alpha Kappa Psi and its members have taught me both through

formal programming and informal interactions to trust my

abilities and to dare boldly in making a positive impact. Thanks to

that added confidence, rather than spending my time at work

worrying if I belonged, I was able to lead a project that has saved

and will continue to save significant amounts of valuable time for

many people across my organization.

THERESA - CLASS OF 2018

Analyst at Goldman Sachs
