Strategic Goals:
The Strategic Priorities for 2020-
2025 focus on strengthening our
ability to provide a world-class
Waldorf education to meet the
needs of our community in a
changing world.
PEDAGOGICAL EXCELLENCE:
Provide ongoing pedagogical review
to ensure that curriculum goals are
clear, consistent, and implemented
in alignment with the principles
of Waldorf education to meet the
needs of the children today.
FACULTY SUPPORT:
Establish MCWS as a leader in
faculty recruitment and support.
DECISION-MAKING:
Ensure that the current decisionmaking
structure at MCWS is the
most appropriate for the school
moving forward.
Substantial progress has been made toward each of the 5 strategic goals:
Pedagogical Excellence: Established clear guidelines for responsibilities held by Teacher Development vs
Human Resources; developed additional behavioral supports and medical leave policies for students
Faculty Support: Adopted Emergency Support and Personal Time Off Policies for employees; revamped
annual review process for administrative personnel
Decision-Making: Instituted the ARCI model across all levels of decision-making
Equity and Inclusion: Established the High School Opportunity Fund; continued work with REI; revamped the
employee and student dress codes
Operations and Infrastructure: Assessed and prioritized future staffing needs
EQUITY AND INCLUSION:
Foster a community that holds
equity, inclusion, and accessibility
as core values at MCWS, with a
specific focus on the recognition of
historically marginalized groups.
OPERATIONS AND
INFRASTRUCTURE:
Ensure that the essential
operational and administrative
functions are in place to effectively
