So yeah, Alberto fortunately never lost

his interest towards cars entirely. He's

been working on cars as a hobby since

2014 and he collected a decent lineup at

home during the years: seven cars and

one moped, like a Ford F350, and an

original Land Rover Series 1 there are

good odds anyway that Alberto is

among the most enthusiastic Land Rover

fans in the world.

Then that seven turned eight when one

day he heard about a firstgen Capri

lying around on a nearby farm. Alberto

went, saw and faced a onetime deal.

"Okay, it has to be mine."

said Alberto muted in that barn, staring

at that Caprishaped 36yearold pile of

dust. Her brakes got totally stuck during

the last three and a half decades so it

was pulled out to the sunshine again by

a tractor.

Nevertheless the car was in quite an

okay shape, partly thanks to the

Southern climate as well, which was

merciful to the body.

The deal was made, work could start,

and Alberto put all his free time effort

into the Capri. Containing of course a

head gasket replacement, following with

the Ford Scorpio valves made in Madrid,

got a new alternator and a custombuilt

exhaustsystem, working paralelly with

the body. The interior, the brakes and

the rear axle were completely rebuilt.

Even though she doesn't have her fancy

untouched vibe anymore, this car is very

close to the factory state. And this is

actually true to the matte black bonnet

and the red leather interior 'cos bothl of

them are stock features right from the

factory. The alcantaracovered

dashboard just seems so, because that

was actually made by Alberto. The car

was made in Cologne, hence there is a

1.7liter V4 Ford Taunus engine inside.

Inline4 Kent engines were only built in

in the UK.
