BHPV SCHOOLMEGA REUNION1978-1993 BatchesA trip downmemory lanen the 1970s, our BHPV School implementedIthe Tri-lingual formula. So along withMathematics, Physics, Chemistry, History,Civics, Geography, and then we had English,Hindi and choice between Telugu and Sanskritas third language. Yes! But we learnt ‘TimeManagement’ and ‘Multi-Tasking’ then itselfOur school adopted Harijana Jaggiahpalem, avillage nearby. We, as students, went regularly todonate clothes, books and carried out otherservices. During Vanamahotsavam, we startedschool gardening and later inter housegardening competitions were also held.One year, our teachers organized ‘MockParliament’. This was held to an audience ofschool management committee and all studentstoo. The senior most 3 classes took the benches1979 BatchMV. Surya Kumarias the ruling party and the opposition. TheHome Minister presented the school activities.The Sports Minister asked for higher budgetallocations for equipment. There was a questionanswer session with the speaker trying tomaintain the decorum of the House. It wasinformative and entertaining. It ended with theleader of the opposition hoping that for the nextsession, they would exchange seats with theruling Party. As it happened, ‘the prediction’came true in the next General Elections.As Abdul Kalam Sir says, our minds were ignitedby our beloved teachers. We of BHPV Schoolhave gone into the wide world and broughtmany a laurel to our Teachers and Alma materDecember 2019
