We will guide you through the wholeappraisal and auction process with the expertiseof our dedicated team of specialists, and we arededicated to helping you realize the true valueof your property.The first step is for us to appraise your property.You may make an appointment for us to cometo your location, you may send us photographs,or you may schedule a time to bring your itemsto our auction house.We will then give you a ‘Fair Market Value’appraisal for each item, based on our specialist’sknowledge of prices realized in the currentauction market, and their own expertise. We willalso explain our Conditions of Sale, commissionstructure, and discuss any ‘reserves’ that maybe set. A reserve is the confidential price belowwhich we will not sell the item.If you then decide to sell your items throughus, you will receive a consignment contracttogether with a complete inventory of all youritems, their high/low estimates, reserves if any,date received, and date of auction.Insurance, packing and delivery of consignedgoods to our location is your responsibility.We will assist you by recommending movers ifnecessary, or where we are able, by arrangingfor pick-up and delivery with our own movingvan. You may also drop off your items byappointment at our auction house. While wemay recommend movers we are not responsiblefor their acts, errors or omissions.After the sale you will receive a settlementstatement listing the hammer price for eachitem sold. Within thirty days of the sale you willreceive payment by check, less our commissionand any agreed fees, provided payment hasbeen received from the buyer.If any item fails to sell some charges may still beincurred, for example 2% insurance fees. We willalso charge a ‘buy-in’ fee of 5% of the reserveprice or low estimate if no reserve was set.
