Course of Study
There are seven periods in a school day. Four periods will consist of the
following Core Academic Classes:

Language Arts
Social Studies
One period will consist of Seminar and Lunch.
The remaining two periods (80 weeks) will consist of Exploratory classes
and other required classes*.
All students must take Quest (20 weeks). *

Exploratory Classes:
★ Physical Education (20 weeks)*
★ Computer Literacy (10 weeks)*
★ Woodshop Technology (10 weeks)*
★ Choir (40 or 20 weeks)
★ Life Skills (10 weeks)
★ Art (10 weeks)
★ Band (40 weeks)
Band and full-year Choir students will take Band or Choir (40 weeks), Quest
(20 weeks), and a choice of 20 weeks of either: Physical Education or
Computer Literacy (10 weeks) plus one other 10 week elective.
Non-Music Students will be scheduled into all the exploratory classes
except Band and Choir. They will have an option of taking Choir (20 weeks)
instead of two other 10 week electives.
