The winner of <strong>Local</strong> <strong>Life</strong>’s<br />
December competition was<br />
Carole Astin of Gathurst Road in<br />
Shevington. Carole nominated<br />
one of her neighbours, Vicky<br />
Little, to receive the prize, which<br />
was a luxury Christmas hamper.<br />
When asked why she had<br />
nominated Vicky, Carole said<br />
“She’s done a tremendous<br />
amount of work in the local<br />
community this year, helping<br />
out at the village food bank<br />

and holding music events at the<br />
bottom of the garden”.<br />
Vicky, along with husband David<br />
and children James and Rebecca,<br />
hosted musical performances<br />
at key moments in 2020, such<br />
as the Clap for Carers nights,<br />
the VE Day celebrations and on<br />
Christmas Eve.<br />
