is a programme which aims the

exchange of students and

academic staff between the

Turkish higher education

institutions and higher

education institutions of other

countries.

journey

In

The Mevlana Exchange Program was led by

Dr. Siti Salina binti Mustakim, a senior lecturer

from the Faculty of Educational Studies,

Universiti Putra Malaysia.

September 2019, 4 students from Faculty

of Educational Studies under Dr. Siti Salina

Mustakim supervision was sent to join this

program in Karamanoglu Mehmetbey

University, Karaman, Konya, Turkey.

The KMU unversity was

established in 2007 and yet

have never received any

exchange students. UPM

delegate was one of the first

batch in this university. Local

students were very friendly

and welcoming.

which later influenced the classroom facilities

and its learning environment


The International Office

Mevlana Exchange Students were centred, assisted, and

supervised by The Mevlana Program Coordinator,

Mr.Ugur Aygun and Mr. Harun Ozmerdivanli

A short visit from Dr. Siti Salina Mustakim,

Head of Mevlana Program on her way to

Greece for an international conference


The Faculty

The winter has brought Turkish Faculty to another level

that makes the building installed with cay and coffee

room to keep the students and teachers warm

throughout the season.

and Tiyatro Club

(Cinema and

Theatre Club) to

make new friends

and practice Turkish

Program

The Turkish government has launched the National

Food Program that enables students to get

nutritious meal in campus with price as low

2Turkish Lyras (RM1.50) per day

Our target is to distribute

50 simits to the homeless

chidlren around the

Karaman City

As we have been receiving

such a warm hospitality from

our families in Turkey, we

planned to share the joy and

give back to the community.

We reached out to Chapter

Yosh UPM for funding on our

free simit give away to

homeless children in the small

city of Karaman.

The Cultural Cross Program initiated by the

International Office of KMU to appreciate and

celebrate all differences brought by Mevlana

Students from various background. It is also the

last program for the exchange program.

It has been a great seasons of fall, autumn,

and winter throughout the Exchange

Program, we surely cherished this memory
