Stanly was at home listening to
music. Then he heard a scratch in
the wall. Stanley thought it was just
a mouse but just incase he called
his mom.
“Mom!!” Stanly yelled.
Stanly’s mother said, “Yes,
Stanly?”
“There’s something in the wall,”
Stanly replied.
Stanly’s mother said, “Yeah, I’ve
heard it too. It’s just a mouse.”
What…!?
“Okay,” Stanly replied. He thought
it was a mouse, he just wanted to

was nothing so he hung up.

himself. Stanly went upstairs
because he was getting tired, and so,

asked.
“Oh nothing, can I just please sleep
here tonight?” Stanly asked.
“Sure” Stanly’s mother said.
Stanly is still 8 years old and still

dad. He thought in his mind he
would ask his mother tomorrow. He
finally fell asleep at 1:00 AM
because he was thinking of his dad.
He had forgotten about the
scratches in the wall and the weird
phone call.
Stanly went down the stairs with a
smell of pancakes. “Mom do I smell
pancakes?”
mom!

pancakes!?
Stanly’s mother laughed “ Haha!
Yes you do. Come down stairs and
sit at the table please.”
“Okay, mom.” Stanly then asked, “
Mom,…what happened to dad..?”
“Oh umm he went to war and died
doing what he thought was right.
He wanted to fight for our country.”
Stanly’s mother said.
“ Yeah I am sure he was a great
guy,” Stanly said.
