Burkhartsmeier both entered masters
programs of education as a result of their
experience with Haven. “My involvement
with the kids in the Haven Project,
working with them one-on-one and seeing
the benefits of what we could do, started
me on this road.”Burkhartsmeier says.
The Haven Project has truly left its stamp
on all involved, but now, after ten years,
the project as an independent organization
is coming to an end. The good news is that
most of its programs will be picked up by
ART and Sojourn Theatre, so the Haven
spirit will live on.
