HOV Accelerate Cohort Graduation
Many Zoom calls, deep dives and virtual pitch sessions later, we are excited to
announce that HOV Accelerate Cohort 1 has concluded! The first cohort not only
handled the demands of our meticulously designed startup bootcamp aka. the
accelerator program, but also the countless unforeseen challenges brought by the
pandemic.
Since only three startups had made it through our tough selection process, we were
able to give each team more time for operational reviews and 1-1 coaching. We are
extremely happy with the progress made by these three startups over the course of
the program.
The Startups:
Baby Planet is Pakistan's leading baby products marketplace. Baby Planet has seen
massive MoM growth and has doubled it's revenue run rate. The team’s focus on
customer operations helped them grow rapidly during the Covid-lockdowns but
impressively they never slowed down! Irfan is looking to raise a pre series A round to
accelerate growth.
Hotpod is Pakistan's first managed kitchen network - think franchising at scale!
Hotpod has launched its first 3 kitchens in Karachi with plans to expand across the
city and into KLI. Abdus Samad is looking to raise a seed round to keep up the
massive response they have got from brands that are wanting to onboard.
Swag Kicks is a fast growing active footwear store offering pre-loved branded
footwear at incredible prices. Nofal is raising a seed round to solidify their leadership
spot in the pre-loved branded footwear segment and keep up with the ever-growing
demand.
Having had the opportunity to work closely with these amazing founders over the last
three months we can see that they have the experience, determination and customer
centricity needed to become leaders in their respective categories and building
amazing businesses. We are proud to be a part of their journey and look forward to
seeing them succeed.
