The Poppy Electric range is available in white & chrome and supplied with a fully controllable electric element. Offering
8 function modes, they can be set to operate when you wish, on a daily basis or you can select one of the three pre-set
programmes. The Open Window function detects an open external door or window and will turn the radiator off if it which is
allowing heat to escape so saving energy and money.

Electric Chrome option
The Lupin Electric range is available in white & chrome and supplied with a fully controllable electric element. Offering
8 function modes, they can be set to operate when you wish, on a daily basis or you can select one of the three pre-set
programmes. The Open Window function detects an open external door or window and will turn the radiator off if it which is
allowing heat to escape so saving energy and money.
• Boost mode (2h at max power)
• Timer mode (configure different temperatures value for each hour and day of the week),
• Comfort mode (desired user temperature),
• Night mode, Pilot-wire mode, Antifreeze mode, Holiday mode

Heating elements are used as a heat source in electric radiators, towel rails and dual fuel towel rails. You can easily install your radiator
or towel rail as dual fuel by connecting it to your central heating system along with a heating element, meaning you are able to run your
product as electric in the summer months.
All towel rails that can be converted to dual fuel will have a dual fuel symbol in the technical section
Follow these simple stages to select the correct Dual Fuel Kit for your towel rail.
1. Valve Configurations
All radiators will require a valve, select either a T-piece or a Dual Fuel valve to suit your installation.
2. Types of Element
There are four types of electric element to choose from (see below and opposite) .
3. How to choose your Element
It is important to select the correct size element for your towel rail. Too small and it will not provide enough heat, too large and it can burn out.
The chart above right that shows the towel rail output in watts and the corresponding recommended size of element.

Valves
Every hydronic Towel Rail needs a pair of valves to operate. A good quality valve not only benefits efficient
performance they also add to the appearance of your finished radiator. All our valves have a 5 year warranty and
delivered within 48-72 hours.
TRV or Manual?
Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) monitor the room temperature. They usually have between 4 to 6 levels and the
valve opens and closes automatically to reach and maintain the desired level. TRVs can help maximise the efficiency
of your system reducing energy consumption and are now a requirement as part of building regulations relating to
new builds and refurbishments.
Manual valves are adjusted by hand; they allow a constant flow of water through your radiator regardless of the room
temperature and radiators will only turn off when the main thermostat reaches it’s set point or the programmer turns
the heating off.
Painted Valves
Create a unique and individual statement with your valves and pipe covers. The
following range of valves can be painted in the same colour as your radiator from any
of the 188 RAL options and 32 special finishes.
Pictured right is a Lupin in RAL 7011 with matching painted Cylinder valves and pipe
covers and shrouds. Painted valves are delivered in up to up to 3 weeks.
To provide complete coordination, simply follow these three easy steps

Pipe work and Pipe centres;
All our valves have 15mm connections as standard unless otherwise stated; if you need different connections please
specify when ordering your valves. The use of plastic pipe has become more popular; however, our valves are not
designed to operate with plastic pipes. Also, if chrome pipe work is used most valves will not grip it securely because
chrome is a harder surface than copper or iron and leaks can occur. Special fittings are required to enable valves to
grip chrome pipe work and these must be specified at time of order. The position of the pipe work for your radiator
will be affected by the valves you select. All angled valves have a dimension to allow for adjusting pipe work. You
should make adequate allowances for manufacturing tolerances in pipe centres. For straight valves, a minimum of
150mm should be allowed from the base of the radiator for ease of installation.

Selected towel rails can be converted to work as dual fuel models. An element and T-piece is needed to adapt the towel rail; your installer
