Our LOVE towards God and our LOVE towards neighbors based on Matthew 22:37-40.The RED Heart (Warmed Heart)The RED heart reminds us of the ‘ strangely warmed heart’ of John Wesley. The ‘strangely warmed heart experience’led to the Methodist movement and eventually the Methodist Church. As Methodists, we all shall remember this.The CrossJesus Christ connects our heart through the Cross to the Father above and others around us. The Cross has beendesigned from the inside (heart) out. We as Christians should experience the Cross (Love of Jesus and Salvation)within ourselves before bringing the Cross out (Love of Jesus and Good News) to others.The FlameThe flame represents the Holy Spirit. Work of the Holy Spirit brings Scripture to heart. Gold color represents thepreciousness of Scripture. The gold color turns to orange color. Gradual ‘transformation’. The orange color turns tored Finally the red flames that make the heart ‘warm’.Church NameThe colors blue and red are chosen from MCS logo colors. The shorter English version is due to the design intent.
| 3 |The Children’s Ministry @ AMKTMCs the school exams were fast approaching, our officialSunday School classes were winding down for the year 2020.Children were being taught about the Birth of Jesus Christ theMessiah which led to the season of Christmas. Every year,Sunday School children will actively participate in the ChurchCarol service with their melodious rendition. They will alsoparticipate with joy in the Christmas evangelistic programsconducted every year. This year 2020 took away all thoseopportunities from our Sunday School children due to COVID19 and the restrictions that came with it. But the Sunday Schoolteachers were not ready to give up in any circumstances. Theycame together and started to plan for an online program whereall the children could participate with joy and bring glory toGod. They discussed with the students in their class and cameout with a beautiful plan. The plan was great and after runningthrough with the leadership of the church, it was a go aheadtowards execution. It was not easy to do a program onlinebecause they had to pre-record items for their individual classperformance and also record Audio and Video for the grandfinale. It was not an easy task. This is where we need to give duecredit to all the parents for their active participation in helpingtheir children with the recordings. Since it was the first timethat all were doing a recording on their own, they had toovercome technical challenges. By God’s immense grace andmercies, we were able to finish everything just in time for theprogram. On the program day, the children connected throughzoom and the church members joined us through you-tube. Wehad a variety of programs from fun and meaningful games byBro Alfred, a puppet show and story time by Bro Chirstopherfrom India, question and answer segment by Sis Gnanamany,individual class performances, blessings by Pastor and thechurch leaders and topped up with the grand finale.It was such a joy and honor to conduct the program onlinetitled “The Perfect Gift”. What we all learnt from this episodewas that nothing can stop us from sharing the Love and truthabout the greatest gift of God, His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Wewould like to take this opportunity to thank every child inAMKTMC Sunday school for stepping up and participating inthis program in spite of all odds. We would like to thank theirparents for their un-wavering support towards this ministry. Wewould also like to thank the Pastor and the church leadershipfor giving us this great opportunity to share the Love of God. Iwould be failing if I do not thank the wonderful and dedicatedSunday School teachers who put in hours of hard work to get allthe recordings done on time. Above all we thank God for HisLove, His Grace and His mercy. All glory be to God.We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sis GnanamanyPhilip who led the Sunday School ministry for the past 2 yearsand who was a role model to all the children and who hasdeeply impacted the kids to know and love God more in theirlives. Her passion and the love for this ministry will be greatlyremembered. We wish all of God’s blessing upon her as shefollows Pastor Philip who has taken up the new role of thePresident of ETAC.Continue to pray for the Sunday School ministry as we forgeforward to teach and explain the word of God and lead thechildren to have a deeper understanding and relation with God.- Bro.
