Hoje o nosso grito de ' Télúu,Télúu" é de
alegria. Já notaste que sendo tu a mais nova
das irmãs és a mais velha da família Colaço.
Deolinda, eu, Catarina, Pedro, Inês, Bernardo,
Nina, Ricardo, António e Ricardinho,
desejamos toda a felicidade, não só para o
dia 25 de Janeiro, mas para todos os dias no
futuro.
A distância não impediu que trocássemos os
afetos e o sentido da família Colaço graças à tecnologia aplicada do Zoom - obra genial do
Brian e Quinzinho.
Neste momento, vai também uma grande saudação à Jyoty e Tonito, cuja companhia
continuará a ser o grande apoio para ti e que agradeço em nome de todos nós.

Neste dia auspicioso, Telu está prestes a
completar 91 anos - a mais velha dos
irmãos a ter sobrevivido até aquela idade.
Para nós, embora haja um intervalo de
quase 20 anos, ela tem sido como uma
irmã mais velha, um nível entre a mãe e a
irmã. Estou repetindo isso não só em meu
nome e de Jyoti, mas também dos meus
irmãos Maria Alice e Quizinho, bem como
dos meus sobrinhos Reuben, Rayson,
Ravik e da família de Ravik, Jo, Rafa, Felix
e Sebastian. Portanto, é um marco que Telu alcançou hoje e espero que possamos lhe
fazer companhia por mais alguns anos com Covid ou sem Covid. Parabéns a Telu.

individuais, por formar as nossas

verdadeiramente nunca iremos

Telu, no ano passado estivemos todos
juntos em Goa para comemorar o teu
aniversário.
Como as coisas mudaram num ano.
Descobrimos uma nova maneira de
mantermo-nos em contacto, mesmo
celebrando ocasiões como estas.
Claro que nada pode substituir a presença
física das pessoas, os abraços e os beijos.
Infelizmente,
não há nada que possamos mas
esperarmos por um tempo em que
possamos estar todos juntos novamente.
Hoje é o seu dia querida Telu e acho que
falo por toda a família em dizer o quanto a
Telu é amada e tem um lugar especial em

Edwina, Brian e Sarah, Stephen e minhas
filhas Michelle, Vanessa e Denise se
juntam a mim para felicitar a ti ao
completar 91 anos de idade e desejar tudo
de bom nos próximos anos. Nos últimos
anos, ficamos imensamente tristes por não
termos tido a oportunidade de comemorar
teus aniversários marcantes. No entanto,
este ano é diferente. O Zoom permitiu-nos
estar presentes contigo e resto de familia e
participar nas celebrações.
Tu personificas amor e a união da familia
Colaço. Tu fizeste do Solar dos Colaços
uma casa para todos nós. Tu abriste teus braços para dar as boas-vindas a todos nós, seja
por alguns dias ou por meses. Tu es a pedra rocha
do Solar dos Colaços - além de tomar conta das
nossas necessidades, tambem prepararaste
refeições suntuosas, deixaste à vontade e
encontraste energia para nos acompanhar em
passeios turísticos e outras escapadas. Idade
nunca foi um impedimento para ti – Tu convives
perfeitamente conosco, por maior que seja a
diferença de idade. Michelle, Vanessa e Denise
tem boas recordações de nossa estadia em Goa.
Tu es uma tia querida. Todos nós te amamos com
muito carinho. Vamos te brindar com um copo para
tua saúde e felicidade. Deus te abençoe
imensamente. Com muito amor embora de longe.

Querida Telu, Antes de desejar a si um feliz
aniversário, gostaria apenas de dizer algumas
palavras para dizer que a Telu ocupa um lugar
especial nos nossos corações. Telu sempre
desempenhou um papel muito importante na
vida de Brian, minha e dos nossos três filhos e
posso dizer sinceramente que Alston, Danielle
e Desiree sentem o mesmo. Eles ainda se
lembram dos tempos em que visitavam a sua
casa. Ir para o Solar dos Colaços significava ir
a casa de Telu onde eles iriam contar a Telu
todos os tipos de histórias e divertiam se como se fosse a casa deles própria. E para eles o
Solar dos Colaços significa muito e Telu significa muito para eles. Com Brian e comigo Telu
sempre foi muito gentil e abriu as portas de sua casa sempre que íamos a Ribandar. Que
Deus os abençoe imensamente e um feliz aniversário e muitos, muitos, muitos anos mais
saudáveis em frente. Deus os abençoe.

Before I wish you a Happy Birthday I
would just like to say a few words to tell
you that you hold a special place in our
hearts. You have always played a very
important role in the lives of Brian,
myself and the three children and I can
honestly say that Alston, Danielle and
Desiree feel the same as I do and so
does Brian. They still remember the
times when they would come to your
place. Coming to Solar dos Colaços meant coming to Telu’s house where they would regale
you with all sorts of stories and have fun at the place as though it was their own in fact. And
for them Solar dos Colaços meant a lot and you meant a lot to them. To Brian and myself
you have always been very gracious and opened the doors of your house whenever we
came to Ribandar. May God Bless you abundantly and a very Happy Birthday and many,
many, many, more healthy years ahead. God Bless.

Hello dear Telú,
Today the cry "Télúu, Télúu " is filled
with joy. Have you realized that you
being the youngest among the
sisters, you are now the eldest one
of the Colaço family.
Deolinda, myself, Catarina, Pedro,
Inês, Bernardo, Nina, Ricardo,
António and Ricardinho, wish you all
the best not only for the 25th of
January but for all the days in the future.
The distance between us was not a hindrance, thanks to the Zoom technology that was
applied – a brilliant job by Brian and Quinzinho, as such allowing us to exchange the
affection and the feeling of the Colaço family.
At this point a big salute to Jyoty and Tonito,
whose company and affection, we are sure,
will continue to be with you, and as such
they deserve recognition from all of us.

On this auspicious day Telu is about to complete
91 years - the oldest of the siblings to have
survived to that age. For us although there is a
gap of almost 20 years she has been like an
elder sister a sort of level between the mother
and sister. I am repeating this on behalf of not
only myself and Jyoti but my siblings Maria Alice
and Quizinho as well as my nephews Reuben,
Rayson, Ravik and Ravik's family Jo, Rafa, Felix and Sebastian. So it is a landmark you
have achieved today and I hope we can keep her company for a few years more Covid or
no Covid. Cheers to Telu.

such an intrinsic part of our identity and

Desiree commence a new chapter in her a life at Solar do Colaços, a place that she truly
holds close to her heart. Her engagement at Solar dos Colaços, inside the blessed chapel,
alongside the blessings of the past ancestors, is something we will truly never forget and for
that, we have only you to thank.
Dearest Telu, on this auspicious and momentous occasion, may you continue to live life with
the same fervor, resilience and stoicism as you have always lived it with. We are so grateful
to be celebrating your life and memories of you in our lives. Wishing you a very happy

Telu, last year we were all together in Goa
celebrating your birthday. How things have
changed in one year. We have found a new
way of keeping in touch even celebrating
occasions like these. Of course nothing can
replace the physical presence of people, the
hugs, and the kisses. Alas, there is very little
we can do and hope for a time when we can
all be together again.
Today is your day dear Telu and I think I
speak for all of the family in saying how much
loved you are and have a special place in all

Edwina, Brian and Sarah, Stephen and my daughters Michelle, Vanessa and Denise join me
in wishing you the very best on your 91 st Birthday and in the years ahead. The past many
years, we have been immensely sad to have missed celebrating your milestone birthdays.
This year is different however. Zoom has allowed us to be present with you and join in the
celebrations.
You are the embodiment of the Colaço clan’s love and togetherness. You have made Solar
dos Colaços a `home-away-from-home’ for all of us. You have opened your arms wide to
welcome us all, be it for a few days or stretching into months. You are the rock of Solar dos
Colaço – from catering to our needs, preparing sumptuous meals, making us comfortable
and finding the energy to accompany us on sight-seeing trips and other escapades. Age has
never mattered to you – you blend in beautifully with us however great the age difference.
Michelle, Vanessa and Denise have such great memories of our trip to Goa.
You are a beloved aunt. We all love you dearly. We will take this opportunity to raise a glass
to you, your health and happiness. God bless you immensely. With love from across the
