Faces of BlanchetSTUDENTSWhile the majority of Blanchet students reside inSalem-Keizer, 17% live in outlying areas. Someof our students commute from Albany, Corvallis,Dallas, Hubbard, Newberg, Silverton, Woodburn,Sherwood and other area towns. Many Blanchetstudents attended Catholic elementary schools,while others have public, private or home schoolbackgrounds.The Blanchet community also benefits from theexperience of several international students whostudy on campus each year, as well as an ongoingsister-school relationships with Shukutoku HighSchool in Japan and Hainan Middle School inChina.ALUMNIBlanchet’s first senior class graduated in1999. Each year our seniors are accepted toprestigious colleges and universities throughoutthe country. Blanchet alumni have studied andearned degrees from the University of NotreDame, Stanford University, Sarah LawrenceUniversity, US Naval Academy, US MilitaryAcademy-West Point, Tulane University andWillamette University, just to name a few.Blanchet remains in contact with its graduatesthrough publications, an annual Alumni Dayand reunion activities.“I have received many blessings in my life and none greater, perhaps, than those I have received from theBlanchet community.
