Pastor’s Report
Pastor Amanda has
secured a grant from Thrivent
Financial to make boxes for
Holy week. The boxes will
be used for outreach to the
community and she will need
some help assembling them.
She has been busy working
on Creator Connect – writing
personal connection cards and
mailing them to congregants.
A lot of work has been
going on in (and on) the
building with the temporary
repairs from the branch that
went through the roof. She is
also working with Thrivent on
a class about generosity and
planning.
Old Business
The insurance company
has been contacted and will
pay for the repair of both
the sign and roof. We have
one bid in for the roof that
looks promising. Property
committee believes that most
of the sign can be repaired
and will be working on that.
New Business
Council made the decision
to use the funds from the
Christmas special offering to
help a BLHS student who is
wheelchair bound and needs
some special equipment to
get out and get exercise.
Due to the high cost of that
equipment, we also decided to
designate the Lentin offering
to the same thing.
Council has elected to reactivate
and fund account
3516 the “worship” account
under designated funds. This
line item will be used to pay for
expenses of items specifically
needed for worship services.
