bewussterem Leben und Räumen, die Ruhe ausstrahlen. Alles,
um dem Stress unseres Alltags entgegenzuwirken. Vor allem
in chaotischen Zeiten merken wir, was wirklich zählt: die
Welt, in der wir leben. Die Natur, die uns umgibt. Denn Natur
beeinflusst, wie wir uns zu Hause fühlen und das haben sich
Interieur-Experten mit viel Grün und nachhaltigen Materialien
zu Nutze gemacht. Dieses Jahr geht es darum, Bewusstsein
zu schaffen für unser Wohl und das der Welt um uns. Es steht
für aktive Veränderungen für eine grünere Zukunft. Wir bei
WENKO sind stolz, einen Teil dazu beizutragen.

is especially in times of chaos that we realize what really
matters: the world we live in. The nature that surrounds us.

our wellbeing and the world around us. It is about active

Seit 2017 als umweltbewusstes Unternehmen
Since 2017 as an environmentally conscious company
Verpackungen / Packagings:
Durch die Umstellung von Polybeuteln auf
eine Pappverpackung für Bügeltischbezüge
lassen sich 71.500 Plastiktüten pro Jahr
einsparen. Keramikaccessoires werden in
ihrer Transportverpackung seit 2020 nicht
mehr durch Styropor gesichert, sondern
durch recycelte Wellpappe – damit werden
14 Tonnen Styropor eingespart und das
Transportvolumen um 40% gesenkt.
By switching from polybags to cardboard packaging
for ironing table covers, 71.500 plastic bags can be
saved per year.Since 2020, ceramic accessories have
no longer been secured in their transport packaging
by polystyrene, but by recycled corrugated cardboard
- this saves 14 tons of polystyrene and reduces the
transport volume by 40%.

Nachhaltigkeit // Sustainability
WENKO
Durch die steigende Belastung der Luft durch CO 2
kommt
dem Wald beim Klimaschutz eine besondere Bedeutung zu.
Deshalb planen wir die Unterstützung von verschiedenen
Aufforstungsprojekten.
Due to the increasing pollution of the air by CO 2
, the forest
is of particular importance for climate protection. Therefore,
we plan to support various reforestation projects.
Bee WENKO
Auf dem Firmengelände wurde im Mai 2019 Platz für drei
Bienenvölker, das sind ca. 60.000 Bienen, geschaffen. Unsere
fleißigen Wenko-Bienen haben im letzten Jahr immerhin 30 kg
Honig für uns erzeugt. Die weltweite Bienenpopulation nimmt
leider stetig ab – ein Zustand, dem WENKO mit diesem Projekt
beherzt entgegenwirkt!
In May 2019, space for three bee colonies, which are around
60.000 bees, was created on the company premises. Our
hardworking Wenko bees produced 30 kg of honey for us last
year. The worldwide bee population is unfortunately steadily
decreasing - a situation that WENKO is bravely countering
with this project!
