REMEMBERING CHARLES
TEYE MACCARTHY-
ONE YEAR ON
“For we know that if the earthly tent
we live in is destroyed, we have a
building from God, an eternal house
in heaven, not built by human
hands.” 2 Corinthians 5:1
This past year has been rough, we wept and mourned, but now we laugh and
dance. We never thought life without Charles was possible but to our surprise,
we have flourished in the very midst of our loss. In spite of broken hearts, we
mended relationships; and when our lives felt dry and desolate, our homes were
flooded with love as we re-discovered the meaning of affection.
His joy, his pursuit of peace, his constant embrace has felt closer than ever
over the past year, and all these values work through us to make us better
people. We have all grown in various sectors of our lives; in education,
marriages, friendships, spiritual journeys, and professional interactions. There
has been a new form of navigation that drives us to grow in all these areas. We
are led by Charles' passion, his drive, and his work ethic. He never missed a day
off work, but still managed to be present in the home. His provision was
beyond all others and we are motivated by the ability he had to work hard and
provide for his loved ones.
Because of what he sowed within us, we blossom into who God has created us
to be.
The greatest thing he left behind was his legacy, his name, his lineage. His
children run with the baton and will complete the race. Though their hearts
were divided in two, they are devoted to multiplying what Charles left in their
hands.
We love you and miss you, Charles Teye MaCCarthy (a Husband, Father,
Brother and loved one) and will continue to make your name great.
GOD RICHLY BLESS EVERYONE.
Appreciation.
