Emirates A380 Arrives At Changi
The inaugural voyage was made on 3 December 2012
In preparation for the introduction of the new Emirates A380 service
from Dubai to Singapore, a special A380 team comprising five key
members was formed. The team was instrumental in the start-up of
the Emirates A380 operations in Singapore – looking after the full ramp
handling, from Passenger Loading Bridge, Lower Deck Loader to towing
and loading/unloading activities. After undergoing training in Dubai
and Kuala Lumpur, they then became the trainers to all ramp staff here.
To complement the customer’s experience, Najla Abdeen Dole from
Emirates headquarters was also on hand to conduct training on the
Emirates A380 Customer Experience.
Enjoying the Emirates A380
From First Class Private Suites and Shower Spas, flat bed seats in
Business Class, inflight Wi-Fi throughout the aircraft and onscreen
email/sms services on every seat, the Emirates Airbus A380 features a
range of innovations that ensure the comfort and convenience for
every passenger.
The aircraft boasts two lounges, one each for First Class and Business
Class passengers. First Class passengers who value privacy and
personalised service get to enjoy the ultimate indulgence onboard. In
each of 14 Private Suites, the seats convert to fully flat beds with
mattresses. Emirates is also the first airline to introduce two
fully-equipped Shower Spas for passengers to refresh mid-flight.

In addition, passengers in all classes can enjoy Emirates’
award-winning ICE (information, communication, entertainment)
in-flight entertainment system, which features over 1,100 channels of
on-demand entertainment.
To complete the experience, each cabin also features a unique,
advanced mood lighting system, complete with a starlit sky that
adjusts throughout a flight to reflect the time at the destination to help
combat effects of jet lag.
