Arno Mat Media launches its

After a 2year period since Arno Mat Media has been in

existence, it has been dealing with book cover designs,

posters and logos working hand in hand with the just

dissolved Self-publishing Bureau, Arno Mat Literature

Bureau. With success the upcoming Media Company

has introduced its own e-magazine with no more

intentions than advertising the unrecognized talent in

Africa and the world at large.

talents just because they are not being recognized”, he

and wished that he could help the world of those

coming behind him to have a polished road.

The Magazine comes in many parts and it is

The Birth of Baby Steps Clothing Line

By Arnold Ndlovu

F

rom the sunbaked soils of

Tsholotsho in the middle

of unrecognized parts of

Zimbabwe, Joanna Moyo has

defied all odds and went against

the laws of gravity.

After almost a year and a half

living in the south of

her native country

she went on to

find and launch

her clothing

brand which She

named Baby Steps.

When I interviewed her

she stressed a very crucial point

that each and every one of us

who are living should imitate in

our life time. She took me back

to the month of December 2019

when she lost one of her precious

gadgets, her cellphone. She felt

like it was the end of it all. Her

world had been restructured to

the one of the little people. „‟It

took me two weeks to get another

cellphone and thus when the

mindset of creativity and taking

things slowly and surely like

baby steps came up.‟‟ She said.

She continued

and schooled

me that a

journey of a

million

miles starts

with a single

step. „‟Thus

where the name Baby

Steps came about‟‟, she smiled.

To me it reflected very well that

sometimes loss can become a

blessing in disguise.

The design of her logo has

become the talk of the youth as it

might be the new Nike of Africa.

The Power of Art

By Arnold Ndlovu

K

inky with a Black Ink that's

the name she calls the

above portrait. Ntombizile

Ncube is one of the artists I have

witnessed doing what they love

the most and her determination is

finally paying her off.

At 22 years old she is a student at

Zimbabwe Open University and

majors in Media studies and lives

in Zimbabwe. Her passion for art

and love of good music blends well

and qualifies her to be the one of

the upcoming greatest artists.

In the recent years I would say I

have seen African Artists rising up

and taking their art not to the

galleries only but to social media

for example artists like Rasta who

has been setting the internet on

fire with pictures of the late

African Statesmen, heroes and

popular musicians. This

enlightened me and showed me

that art is old and still got a lot to

unveil to us.

Apart from being just a hobby to

her she has economized it and

makes personal portraits and cover

pages for fictional novels.

Her untapped talent has made her

to grow up from being a fanatic of

the smell of pencil dust on a white

bond paper to be a professional

artist who takes her time to even

teach those close to her how to do

great Art. She

never stops

practicing infact

she says

she even has

developed a

daily routine.

Ntombizile is

also more than

an artist. She is

also an author

to some exciting

novels that include, Choices We

Make & Other Stories co-written

with Vongai Mujakachi and

published in 2018.

``Art is my life and passion’’, she

told me and I saw it.

She has worked with

Authors like Arnold

Ndlovu and Vongai

Mujakachi as their

editor and seems her

hand really is a hand of

gold.

Behind The Great Wall of China

By Arnold Ndlovu

T

aking a flight to the other side

of the world in Asia, China is

the second largest economy

and first to be if U.S.A blinks.

The country it is the greatest trader in

the world with major ties with most

of African countries where they do

their infrastructure and technological

advancements.

11

For example in Zimbabwe the

country has a strong hold which grew

under the Robert Mugabe regime.

When we then see the Great Wall of

China it symbolizes the supremacy

and the diplomacy the fore-fathers of

China played before the modern

China that we see today.

You also see why in each and every

household in the world you will never

lack an item branded made in China.

Continue on next…

The wall which was built by many

dynasties and was finished by the

Ming Dynasty and is also referred to

as the Ming Wall, 8.851km [PRE-

MODERN FORTIFICATIONS] is

now almost 2300years old and still

standing. It covers almost 15 northern

states and is one of the oldest,

(206BC-220AD) and longest walls in

the world which attracts tourist to the

north of Beijing and it contributes to

the economy of the country through

tourism.

It was built for many other reasons

but the main being for military

purposes as a defense mechanism

from invasions from nomadic

northern nations, tourism and to

promote cultural integration.

The wall has been speculated to be

visible in space.But had been

snubbed by astronauts that it is not

that “Great” to be visible in space but

on the lower obit and also under

favorable conditions says ED Lu and

Eugene Cernan.

The wall is one of remarkable human

made objects on earth that can be

used to identify and trace the history

of certain people including the

Pyramids of the Pharaohs, the Great

Zimbabwean Wall. It is one of the

things you should consider when

visiting the Asian continent.
