Introduction.

About Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park has rich human and ecological stories that continue to unfold. People have spent time in

the Yellowstone region for more than 11,000 years. Many tribes and bands used the park as their home, hunting

grounds, and transportation routes prior to and after European American arrival. Yellowstone was established as the

world's first national park in 1872.

The Logo.

Inspiration behind the design

Yellowstone National Park logo was inspired by the spectacular landscape and diversity of nature in Yellowstone.

Bison (a.k.a buffalo) are everywhere in Yellowstone even including the street. That is the reason why this

creatures are in the logo because Yellowstone may be the only place in the United States where

never-domesticated, free-range wild bison still exist.

Symbols and Meaning

Yellowstone is the only place in the United States

where bison continuously since prehistoric times.

The lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta) is by far the

most common tree in Yellowstone.

Exclusive Zone

An area of protection is established around the logo,

which delimits the margin within which it is not

recommended to place elements (image or text)

that may interfere with the proper perception or

reading of the brand.

Minimum reporduction size

The logo designed reproduces well at almost any

size. The logo size varies from different media

(website, print, social media, etc.) depends on

how and where we use it.

The minimum dimensions and scales are

presented here in order to offer standards in

different formats and guarantee the legibility and

consistency of the brand.

The Typeface.

The Yellowstone National Park typeface was selected specifically to represent the brand. It is use within the

logo itself and throughout the web, digital and print design. It is structured and has great flow which enables

practically throughout all medias.

Prohibition

Prohibition is a display sans font family. This typeface

has eight styles and was published by Fort Foundry.

Packed with some new features, this vintage sans

typeface takes cues from classic war and workforce

posters to industrial factories. Features include stylistic

alternates, discretionary ligatures, and multiple

language support.

Akzidenz Grotesk Roman

Akzidenz-Grotesk is a sans-serif typeface family

originally released by the Berthold Type Foundry of

Berlin. "Akzidenz" indicates its intended use as a

typeface for commercial print runs such as publicity,

tickets and forms, as opposed to fine printing, and

"grotesque" was a standard name for sans-serif

typefaces at the time.

Colour Palatte.

We decided to choose green for our brand color because green is a cool color that

symbolizes nature and the natural world. Perhaps because of its strong associations with

nature, green is often thought to represent tranquility, good luck, and health.

Having multiple versions of your logo can help uplevel your brand and keep your brand
