POTTERS BAR BEER & MUSIC FESTIVAL 2021

WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY 31st JULY

AT POTTERS BAR TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB, WATKINS RISE.

12 NOON UNTIL 9PM. ALL THE FAMILY IS INVITED!

Matt Giles, a CAMRA Member and long time supporter of

the club, is organising this annual Festival again, now in

its 9th Year. This year it is promoting the ‘Music’ as well,

and there will be at least 4 popular bands to entertain you

until 9pm.

THE BEER is being supplied by Tring Brewery and other

local Breweries and there will be 30 REAL ALES and also

CIDERS to choose from.

The LIVE MUSIC will be provided by MR CREOSOTE,

BARNYARD JUNKIES, NICKY LOUISE and CLINT HENDERSON

AND FRIENDS.

Other attractions include the popular Bud Bar, Pimms

Tent, Food Stalls, various Kids Entertainment, Tombola and

local Charity Stalls.

We are pleased that BPM HIRE, ESSENDON COUNTRY

CLUB, OAKMERE GROUP, HOME COUNTIES ESTATE AGENTS

and PAKEX (UK) plc, have all agreed to support the event.

Discounted advance tickets: Adults £7.50 + booking fee

can be purchased online at: www.pbbeerfest.co.uk. Kids

under 12 are free, as are CAMRA members.

Admission on the gate will be £15. Should the Festival not

go ahead due to Covid restrictions, advance tickets will be

fully refundable.

Proceeds from the Festival will go to local charities

and the Potters Bar Town FC project to modernise the

clubhouse and ground improvements.

For more information, tickets and updates please visit

the website: www.pbbeerfest.co.uk.

Welcome to the June issue.

I hope you’re all safely enjoying the benefits

of lockdown easing. At last we can once again

experience the joy of choice and of social

interaction.

We are social animals, us human beings. Yes,

we enjoy TV, online shopping, social media

and group calls, but their benefit to wellbeing

and morale is small when compared to

physical interaction with other people.

Now that our high streets are open again

please try to use local businesses, as they

really appreciate your custom.

If you’re thinking about taking a break in the

UK this year, have a look at our article on the

delights of Pembrokeshire on pages 66 & 67.

As always - please join our facebook group
