With about 5000 companies, the Pr<strong>in</strong>cipality of <strong>Liechtenste<strong>in</strong></strong><br />

features a broadly diversified economic structure. In particular,<br />

the strong <strong>in</strong>dustrial sector and f<strong>in</strong>ancial service providers<br />

contribute to a high gross value added.<br />

Nestled between Austria and Switzerland, you’ll f<strong>in</strong>d the sixth smallest state<br />

<strong>in</strong> the world. Due to the small size of its domestic market, <strong>Liechtenste<strong>in</strong></strong> is<br />

strongly export-oriented. International world market leaders and numerous<br />

small and medium-sized <strong>in</strong>dustrial companies, a professional, <strong>in</strong>novative<br />

f<strong>in</strong>ancial <strong>centre</strong> and a large number of commercial enterprises are what<br />

characterise <strong>Liechtenste<strong>in</strong></strong> as a bus<strong>in</strong>ess location.<br />

The Pr<strong>in</strong>cipality is a constitutional<br />

hereditary monarchy on a democratic<br />

Hans-Adam II abdicated<br />
