Welcome
to the Virtual Walldorf Rock‘n‘Roll Weekender 2021.
I hope you are all healthy, and can also see rays of sunshine between the clouds in this difficult time of
asceticism.
As you know, our Walldorf Rock‘n‘Roll Weekender 2020 had to be cancelled for the first time. In order
to still offer something to you, our guests, many of whom had already bought their tickets, and to
musicians who suddenly had no more opportunities to perform, we took a detour into the virtual world.
With the Walldorf Rock‘n‘Roll Weekender Livestream, we streamed a varied program for four days with
live music, talk, interviews and contributions from bands, musicians, artists, exhibitors and partners, which were
transmitted from all over the world via our channel.
At this point, again, a huge thank you to everyone who participated. And to everyone who helped us and the musicians financially and
morally with the crowdfunding, ticket giveaways and donations! That was and is important in many ways.
In the hope that it would continue in 2021, we also gritted our teeth from June to December 2020 and worked diligently despite
short-time work, home office and lockdown, so that we could finally celebrate Pentecost 2021 with you again.
But at the end of 2020, the overall situation was still unpredictable. No one knew what would happen in the coming months, which
rules would come and go, which mutants we would meet - and which masks, vaccinations or rapid tests would be the saviors in May.
A so-called face-to-face event in the Astoria Halle Walldorf may have to be canceled or receive new requirements even 24 hours before
the event starts. Uncertainty was the only constant that accompanied us.
Regardless of this, we worked constantly to make what was possible then possible.
In the spring, a decision was made: We will stream a Walldorf Rock‘n‘Roll Weekender again in 2021 - similar to 2020, but with more
experience and longer preparation in terms of program and technology (sound, image, editing). With many bands, concerts and music
contributions to offer musicians and bands a stage. For this, we submitted a funding application to the Initiative Musik for music
festival funding in the winter of 2020. This was approved and so we could give the participating bands & musicians orders and pay
fees, which are particularly important signals at this time.
We want to achieve the widest possible reach for our broadcast. The Virtual Weekender will be streamed for free on various channels,
which means for us that we will not have any income from tickets or drink sales etc. this year either. Also our partners and sponsors
have their own situations, the „established“ structures are not working regularly at the moment.
Therefore we have come up with some ideas in the hope that you will support us. The goal is the same everywhere: to generate funds
with which we can give musicians commissions and realize further projects. There is a crowdfunding campaign again, we accept
donations (e.g. via Paypal), and we have founded the channel „ActionPackedTV“, which you can actively support.

Since the hybrid event became increasingly impossible, we and then fully focused on the Virtual Walldorf Rock‘n‘Roll Weekender
2021 (what else could we do).
First, we invited the musicians / bands that we had booked for 2020 and whose gig had not yet been played. Those missing both
the gig, the audience as well as the fee. More musicians and bands followed until we were finally at almost 50 bands. Not all of
them could deliver in time - but more about that later ...
But who is actually „we“?
Of course we have to work differently for the virtual Weekender than for the presence event. I am especially happy that Anna Von,
Julia Hornschuh, Randy Rich, DJ Spy, Mack Stevens, Michel Schreiber and David Mendioroz are wonderful people who have
been with me for months and with whom I have often been friends for many years, if not decades, and whom you already know
from the Walldorf Rock‘n‘Roll Weekender.
I need this team to realize our ambitious project, as well as the team of Session Pro, which we have booked for 2021 with studio
and complete stage and streaming technology. We have all been directly affected by the pandemic and the associated work bans,
losing gigs, contracts and engagements.
The bands and musicians have re-recorded and re-recorded the features and concerts in the spring of 2021, we have been editing
them in post-production for the last three months and compiling them into the shows you will see over the Whitsun weekend.
We know that our Virtual Walldorf Rock‘n‘Roll Weekender 2021 can‘t be a substitute to a real Weekender in real life - but it‘s the
best / biggest we can do right now. We already put more than 1000 hours of work time into the preparation for the Virtual Walldorf
Weekender, not to mention the effort, time and effort that almost 50 participating bands took on to give you a nice Pentecost
weekend.(The pictures of the participating bands in the program booklet are from the videos / recording sessions)
We deliver ! In total, this online event will cost us a 6-digit amount. The artists will get a fee, the service providers and creatives
will be paid for their work like at a presence event. We all need gas in the tank, a „Nickle In The Jukebox“ to keep it going.
We‘re getting paid in advance. Because I believe it‘s valuable and important, because I believe our commitment is needed,
recognized and supported right now.

Vinyl MANIA
The times we are going through have of course a big impact on our sales. Due to missing concerts, festivals, fairs, tours, almost
all sales for us fall away, both through the trade and through us directly.
This is largely due to the fact that we work with our label mainly with current artists who have been subject to a work ban for
12 months, can not perform at festivals or go on tour. Thus the stationary trade (if opened) has also no reason to take the sound
carriers in stock. Furthermore, we release a lot of debut albums of young bands and new projects, which already have a hard time
to be noticed at all, even without the pandemic.
Pandemic quickly brought us to the point that as a label we can‘t just „keep doing what we‘re doing“ as we‘ve done
in the past, the market is too small and too specialized for that, and we‘re on the borderline of being an enthusiast.
The only question is on which side.
In 2020 we had only one publication, everything else we unfortunately had to decline. In the years before, it was always about
20 releases per year. To get back into the swing of things here, we decided to let you, our community, the scene participate in
the decision.
We have completed three crowdfunding projects so far, two of which have been realized (double 10inch Ronnie Nightingale &
The Haydocks) or will be (LP-Tri-Gantics).
Randy is working with me and the respective bands on new ideas and concepts on how we can continue to make new projects
known and attractive. Because we only produce what finds enough interested people.
At the moment there are three projects running, which you are welcome to support:
- A vinyl LP and single with songs from the Revolutionaires CD „Joker Royale“.
- The I Belli Di Waikiki album „Aloha“ as an LP with a completely new cover - and you can also book the band here for a digital
serenade or even a whole concert.
- And also the project phase for the Foggy Mountain Rockers album „Rock‘n‘Roll Philosophy“ is running right now, with the
additional possibility to get exclusive slipmats or signed drumsticks in addition.
More projects are in planning, just have a look at the ad next to it.

ACTION PACKED TV
After months of working on film productions, postproductions, trailers, teasers, jingles and clips as a team - and this is really timeconsuming
work - the thought came up that we shouldn‘t just stop after the Virtual Walldorf Rock‘n‘Roll Weekender. Too much
work put in, too much great footage received that is yet to be seen. Some didn‘t make it in time and will still deliver. A lot of
bands surprised us. Very positively surprised. We would like to share that with you. And it would be a pity if the whole engagement
would end here.
So we‘re giving it a stand-alone, independent framework: We founded a new channel on YouTube called ACTION PACKED TV, which
you can subscribe to for free and on which we publish new content several times a month. In addition, we are creating a profile
on Patreon (a crowdfunding platform for creatives) where you can financially support us in this project and thus actively help us to
