ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

C A S I N O R E S O R T G O L F C O U R S E

On behalf of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians, I would like to welcome you to our 9th Annual

Soboba Foundation & Soboba Casino Resort Charity Golf Tournament. It is tremendously rewarding for

us to be a part of such a hard-working and dedicated team to ensure a successful event year after year.

After so many restrictions and challenges this past year, our local nonprofits have suffered by not being

able to host crucial events and fundraisers that bring much needed awareness and funding to their

organizations. We are thankful for your support, which will enable 10 worthy beneficiaries to continue

their important community work. These organizations that were selected to be on the receiving end of

your generosity are eager to volunteer their time to ensure that your day on the course is enjoyable, fun,

and truly worthwhile.

Representatives from each group will be volunteering their time at the tournament to show their

gratitude for your generosity.

We will have the highest level of safety protocols in place throughout the tournament so you may enjoy

your day of golfing and interaction with friends, old and new. Coming together in a beautiful setting for

a day of golf is always fun, but this tournament holds a special place in our hearts because so many

people benefit from it.

Thank you again for your commitment and support. We look forward to seeing you on the course.

Sincerely,

Isaiah Vivanco

Tribal Council Chairman

Tournament Director

Miiyuyam!

Welcome to our 9th Annual Soboba Foundation & Soboba Casino Resort Charity Golf Tournament!

On behalf of the Soboba Foundation and myself, we are grateful for your continued support more than

ever during these unparalleled times.

This tournament will be a success thanks to you and your participation. The nonprofits and charitable

organizations in our community will benefit from your generosity and we all appreciate that. Each of the

10 deserving beneficiaries of this year’s charity tournament serves an important role, whether it be to

assist youth, low-income families, veterans, or animals. We are so blessed to be able to partner with you to

ensure these organizations can continue to provide much-needed services to their clients. Even though

some of the pandemic related restrictions have been relaxed, we will continue to go above and beyond

with our safety protocols throughout the tournament. We promise it will not detract from the fun you

will have on the course as you share a day of golfing for some great causes.

We look forward to enjoying the event with all of you!

Respectfully,

Dondi Silvas

President

The Soboba Foundation follows in the footsteps of the Tribe and Casino

by continuing with their long term commitment by giving back to the community.

Last year, the Soboba Foundation gave back over $500,000 in cash to various charities and

non-profit groups within the community. By striving to achieve its mission, the Soboba

Foundation is able to provide much needed assistance and funding to organizations and

charities that are in need of support. Since its establishment in 2010, the Soboba Foundation

has been successful in achieving this, and will continue to strive to continuously meet this

goal year after year to ensure that this type of support is continued.

The Soboba Foundation continues to offer financial assistance to tribal organizations,

non-profit charities, and other community organizations within Southern California.

Specifically, the Soboba Foundation aims to support educational, health, economic

development, and special projects within Southern California.

The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians allocates funding to the Soboba Foundation

for charitable giving purposes that is distributed to various organizations and non-profit

groups. Organizations may apply for funding by the way of an application which is submitted

to be considered for funding. These applications are reviewed by the Soboba Foundation

Board of Directors. During their regularly scheduled meetings, the Soboba Foundation Board

of Directors determine whether the request for funding falls within the fund priorities of the

Soboba Foundation.

The Valley Community Panty has been a major resource for

those in need in the San Jacinto Valley and surrounding cities since 1965.

We have been providing emergency food along with rental and utility

assistance for the past 56 years. Over 82% of our clients we serve

(the majority of our clients are seniors and children under 17) are considered

extremely low-income residents with an annual income of under

$14,150. We are run by an Executive Director/CEO along with a team

of dedicated and hardworking volunteers and Board of Directors which

make us an important resource to our communities.

Our motto is: Giving Hope, Helping Families, and Blessing Lives!

My City Youth - is dedicated to intentionally pursuing the creation

of opportunities that encourage creativity, athletic abilities, and an open

door to future possibility through the practical application of positive life

skills in a manner that promotes social equity and supports social justice,

in a diverse population of at-risk youths and families.

FORMAT OF PLAY

Scramble – All players will tee off from the designated tee box.

The team will then pick which tee-shot they feel is the best one.

All other balls will be picked up and all players will converge on

the best tee-shot. Use a tee to mark the position of that ball.

Each player will now proceed to play from within ONE CLUB LENGTH

of the chosen spot. After all payers have hit, you will now as a team,

decide the best of those four shots and play will continue that way

until a ball is holed-out. Players must report their score to the

designated scorer at the end of each hole.

Rules that must be followed

in this type of scramble:

•Men shall play from the BLACK TEES.

•Women shall play from the SILVER TEES.

•Please use sand & seed mix on your cart to fill all divots.

•Please repair all pitch marks on the greens.

•Par is the highest score. Once you have hit Par please pick up

and go to the next hole. This will help with pace of play.

•If your best shot is the rough, it must remain in the rough.

You may not use your one club length to move the ball

to the fairway. The same goes for bunkers and water hazards.

•When on the green, you only have one putter-head length

from the ball’s original position.

appointments, senior centers, dialysis centers, grocery stores, vaccination

clinics, and many more. Unlike other transportation agencies, our services

are free and we rely on the generous support of donations from passengers

and the community. For many of our riders, we are their lifeline to the

community

The Ramona Humane Society (RHS) is celebrating its 52 years

serving people and pets in the San Jacinto Valley. RHS is a non-profit,

open-admission animal shelter, animal control agency, and high quality,

low-cost spay/neuter, and a full-service hospital. Our goal is to partner with

our community to eliminate animal overpopulation by offering low-cost

spay and neutering services and to eliminate euthanasia through public

outreach programs and promoting shelter adoption of pets to loving

homes. RHS shelters lost, unwanted and abused animals from four different

cities. Last year, they received over 6,500 live animals.
