Our name pays homage to the legendary 

explorer Abel Tasman, a man filled with 

passionate desire to challenge the limits of 

the known world.Abel Tasman was the first 

documented European to lay eyes on the shores 

of Tasmania, an island state of Australia, 

located to the south of the mainland. Rich in 

unique flora & fauna and unparalleled in it’s 

natural beauty. 

Inspired by this pioneering spirit and the 

desire to bring positive change to the guitar 

market. We set out to challenge and redefine 

the manufacturing process of top-quality, 

professional-grade acoustic guitars to allow us 

to deliver premium instruments at a previously 

unseen level of affordability.

The Tasman journey begins long 

before we pick up any tools, with each 

piece of wood being carefully selected 

from a range of verified suppliers to 

ensure that it is of the absolute highest 

quality. These woods are then aged 

and seasoned meticulously to ensure 

durability and consistency over time.
