Attend this workshop to learn how to best equip yourself for your future
career during the junior year. Regardless of your post graduation plans—getting
a job, finding a fellowship, or attending graduate school; this workshop
will help you develop a plan to gain relevant industry experience and/or
pursue possible fellowship opportunities and graduate school.

It’s time to make decisions about your career direction after graduation, i.e.,
what types of jobs, graduate programs, fellowship opportunities, or other
activities (travel, volunteering, etc.) to pursue as you move forward. Come
to this interactive and reflective workshop to develop an action plan. You will
take everything you have learned about yourself and the world of work at this
point into consideration as you develop your plan. Please bring a resume and
energy for some good work!

Join career counselors, advising deans and graduating seniors to help you
determine the right major or minor for you! Walk away with tools to use in
deciding on a major/minor or career, learn about resources to explore options
and connect with alumni, and hear from students in engineering majors
about what they chose and why. Pizza will be served! Held in conjunction with
the SEAS sophomore council and the Center for Student Advising. Students
of all years are welcome to attend.

Daydreaming again about volunteering in South America or researching
in Africa? Maybe you have been promising yourself that France will be the
next stamp on your passport. As an undergraduate at Columbia, you have a
diverse array of opportunities to go abroad, whether for study, internships,
research and/or fellowships. This event will present to you the various international
programs available to undergraduates, with representatives from
a variety of offices and programs across campus.

In partnership with Columbia College Alumni Association Board (CCAA), Division
of Student Affairs and Columbia College Alumni Affairs and Development
(CCAD), the Center for Career Education is excited to offer the first Columbia
College Alumni Internship Program. This program will provide you internship
opportunities across industries including communications, finance, technology,
engineering, public relations, non-profit, consulting and the arts through
Columbia College Alumni at top organizations for an 8 – 10 week summer experience.
Once accepted into the program, you will be paired with a mentor,
invited to various events throughout the summer and provided pre-professional
training and development opportunities to help you make the most of your
experience. The information session will highlight specific positions available
that you can apply to as well as the application process.
*This program is open to Columbia College sophomores and juniors only.
