Graduate students in both masters and doctoral programs in GSAS, SEAS,<br />

SOA, GSAPP, and SCE are invited to attend career workshops addressing<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir diverse needs. <strong>Events</strong> target students interested in both academic<br />

and non-academic careers. Graduate students are also encouraged to take<br />

advantage <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> many CCE workshops, panels, fairs, and networking events<br />

open to all bachelor’s, masters, and PhD students.<br />

<strong>Center</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Career</strong> Education Conference Room<br />

The <strong>Center</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Career</strong> Education <strong>of</strong>fers a series <strong>of</strong> three consecutive workshops<br />

designed to help masters students in <strong>the</strong> arts and sciences (GSAS,<br />

GSAPP, SCE, SOA) engage in an effective, thoughtful and successful job<br />

search.<br />

Masters Core Workshop I (9/14) will help students learn to identify jobs<br />

and careers <strong>of</strong> interest, set reasonable job-search goals, and engage in<br />

productive industry research. This workshop will also discuss <strong>the</strong> most relevant<br />

sites and resources <strong>for</strong> locating job postings and opportunities in any<br />

industry.<br />

Core Workshop II (9/21) focuses on <strong>the</strong> materials masters students will need<br />

to apply <strong>for</strong> jobs, with special focus on how to write effective Resumes and<br />

Cover Letters. This workshop also delves into essential Networking skills as<br />

a vital part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> job-search process.<br />

Core Workshop III (9/28) is aimed at helping students develop effective Interview<br />

skills. We will also discuss appropriate Business Etiquette, and <strong>the</strong> dos<br />

and donts <strong>of</strong> job-<strong>of</strong>fer Negotiations.<br />

All graduate students are welcome, although this series is aimed especially<br />

at Masters students in <strong>the</strong> arts and sciences, including GSAS, GSAPP, SOA,<br />

and SCE.<br />

with graduate students from <strong>the</strong> School <strong>of</strong> Engineering and Applied Science<br />

(SEAS) in Davis Auditorium <strong>for</strong> Resume/Cover letter review. Please register<br />

on our web calendar, and <strong>the</strong>n follow up with a paper sign-up <strong>for</strong> a 10 minute<br />

time slot at 12:45 pm on <strong>the</strong> day <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> walk-ins in <strong>the</strong> Davis lobby.<br />
