SEPTEMBER 30, 2021.They may be purchased from the secretary’s office on the fairgrounds westof the grandstand, during normal office hours. The election of directorswill be Wednesday August 18, 2021 during the fair. A membership ticketis required to vote. The annual meeting of membership to be held in thesecretary’s office on the date specified by the Board of Directors.Members of the Mercer County Fairgrounds, Inc., who wish to declaretheir candidacy for the office of Director of the Board of Directors of theSociety may do so by filing a petition with the Secretary of the AgriculturalSociety. This petition must be signed by ten or more members of theMercer County Fairgrounds, Inc., who are residents of the county or districtconcerned in which the Agricultural Society is organized and must be filedat least seven days before the annual election of directors is held. Onlyregularly nominated candidates who have met the filing requirements will beeligible for election as a director. Elections will be held Wednesday, August18, 2021 from 2 to 6 p.m.Members must reside in the township in which they are candidates.Open townships for three-year terms are Recovery and Dublin. Two-yearterm open is Franklin, Center, Gibson and Blackcreek. It has been a challenging year, and we owe a huge thank you to the folks who continued to support thefairgrounds year-round. I hope many of you have recognized the multiple ways that we tried to provide normalcy for you and your families duringthe past year. It was our honor to serve our community and provide entertainment.It is the Fair Board’s goal to grow and expand on the facility along with the activities that we host. This year you will see many new changes andwe feel that you will agree that they are improvements to our facility. Our organization would be doing our community a disservice if we were notcontinually trying to improve our facility and events. With that being said, we are excited about what we have planned for you at the 2021 MercerACounty Fair.With so many unknowns this year and new ways of doing this, it has been a challenge to get everything prepared for the 2021 Fair. Many of theactivities and events would not be possible if it were not for our office staff and board members. These individuals are hardworking and put incountless hours year-round to make the fairgrounds the best it possibly can be. If you see a board member running around in a red shirt at the fair,thank them for the time and effort that they put into the grounds.IAlso, I wish to thank the County Commissioners and the County Maintenance workers. We appreciate that the Commissioners see the value inthe fairgrounds and help to support us. Maintenance workers are a blessing and are always willing to help us when a problem arises.Many thanks to those of you attending the 2021 Fair.
